My Plum Tree Summer 2009
Once again, he clipped the bark of one of my young trees with the electric weed trimmer. This time the injured was my beloved Plum Tree.
Nobody mentioned this incident to me. After a few days had passed, I noticed a 1 1/2 x 1/4" straight vertical cut near the base of my tree, and instantly I knew what had happened.
I have lost two Aspen trees the year before from this machine.
Of course, I desperately wanted to help my poor tree, and relieve any pain she was suffering.
I went to the first aid kit and found a 2x2 non stick white bandage.
Hoping this would keep the air from her wound, I placed the gauze over the cut. I also offered my gifts of prayer, love and life energy to my tree.
A few weeks had passed, and she seemed to be thriving rather well.
The next week, I discovered the dressing was coming off, due to weathering and daily rain.
The cut appeared the same shape as before, only this time was healing and closing with a light scarring.
I knelt down and placed my hands over the wound and projected all the love I could gather directly into the life of my tree.
Last night, a week later I went to offer water, and saw her gift to me.
The wound was healed and the scar now is the exact shape of a heart!
