How To Make 100$/day by breaking some things down

Hello Warriors,

I've been always fascinated by the powerful marketing strategies
that were shared in this forum and I've always respected the people
who have shared their knowledge with others.

I don't know whether anyone will find the information that I am
about to share useful, but I think that the concept of
"breaking some things down" is very powerful.

Everyday a lot of people join our community and most of those
people want to make at least $100 per day. Some people set themselves
even higher goals, yet for most newbies extra 100 bones per day
would be life changing.

People start to wonder what niche they should pick, whether they
should submit their articles to EzineArticles or create squidoo lenses,
whether they should create a product of their own or become an affiliate...
This is just a tiny bit of questions that newbies want to get answered.

The problem is that very often researching leads to information
overload which at the end of the day brings you nowhere. This
is why I think that is it really important for a newbie to set
some really specific, measurable goals...

"Goals... Yeah right.." You might think, but wait a minute.

Let's say that at this moment in time you want to make $100 per day.

Almost every top product on ClickBank pays out a $30 dollar
commission per sale.

This means that in order to make 100 bucks per day you would need
to make about 3 sales, right?

OK.

Now majority of the bestsellers on Clickbank have a 1% conversion
rate. Some top sellers have even higher conversion rates, but let's
stick to 1%.

Anyway this means that in order to make a single sale you would need
to send at least 100 highly targeted visitors to your offer right?

OK.

This means that in order to make 100 bones you would need to
drive 300 highly targeted visitors to your offer.

Only 300 highly targeted visitors?

Does this sound more achievable than "100 bucks per day"?

Once you know the exact numbers that you need it is so much easier
to do business and stay motivated. It doesn't matter whether you
want to make $100 or $1000 a day - break some things down.

Focus on the numbers and become addicted to stats. This will help you
to make more money.

    Very well said.

A little bit of math and effort go a long way. Do the work once. Do it well and reap the benefits. Fail to plan, plan to fail. So many people give up after just one attempt, but if you plan your strategy and goals first and write them down, you increase your chances of sucess dramatically.

I have done this for years as being an entrepreneur I always have too many things to do , and not enough time to do them....and sometimes it can be overwhelming when I really want to do it all!! So...I set short goals...then a longer goal...determine what I need first..and then figure out the steps I need to take to make my short term goal...by breaking it down..just as you suggested..

      Great post!!

Excellent post... and a winning way of thinking.

A shift in focus changes everything.

Instead of worrying and wondering how on earth you can make this seemingly monumental jump for zero to $100 a day, you simply focus on getting 300 visitors to your site every day. You let the sales happen by default... and you focus on the ACTION STEPS that can get you there. If you do this (draw 300 potential buyers)... you should on average hit the $100 daily target.

Now it's no longer a question of "should they submit their articles to EzineArticles or create Squidoo lenses, whether they should create a product of their own or become an affiliate" but a question of "what methods can I employ starting today to start attracting prospects to the whatever offer I choose to promote?"

I'm with you Darvon - seems we can forever learn and yet we also need to take action. A point I often forget before I jump onto the next thing and get info overload myself!

This topic is a timely reminder that ANY sales (whether it's online or face to face or direct marketing ir whatever) is based on numbers. To get x saes you need y customers and to get y customers you need z prospects. Derivation makes a plan and success more assured.

If only I could have rembered that without having to be reminded! Thanks.

    Hi Robertas,

It's refreshing to come upon such logic in this 'fuzzy' part of the forums. It's funny how such a small change of thinking can make such a big difference to perception. Money is too emotional. Breaking a monetary goal down into real-world numbers does indeed seem much more doable. What you said beams with clarity. Nicely put!

Hey Robertas. Good post. I like that what you have illustrated is the importance of breaking your income goal down into a supporting activity goal -- in this case generating a specific level of daily targeted traffic. Do that and the sales will take care of themselves. Thanks for the example.

    Very thoughtful post ...

Things become a lot easier than when you break the steps down

if $50 product , then you only need 2 sales a day to get your $100 a day

if you have $500 product , then you need 2 sales to make a $1000 a day

Amazing when you break it down ...

All you need to do now is to create a $50 product and get enough target traffic to it to make your $100

    Thanks, Robertas

Yes, working out the numbers is a key to success - in any business, not just online.

Once you've established your baseline (the 300 visitors a day) don't stop there! Next start working out the numbers of the most efficient ways to get the 300. Not all traffic sources are equal.

Then start comparing the conversion numbers of different products...and it can go on and on. I know that this is the way to success, the problem is forcing myself to actually do it.

I also like breaking things down in this way.

Another aspect of your idea that I think is really good is the fact that you are concentrating on an outcome which you can actually influence. You can't "make" someone buy something. But you can make sure that enough people are presented with your offer.

The means to drive traffic to your offer are well known and only require you to put the work in. I actually can't think of a traffic generation method I have used which failed to drive at least some traffic to the offer.
