My Greatest Supporter

Hi,

Leaving my 9-6 job and the stability of earning fixed income monthly was never easy. But I must admit that this is the path that I really want. You are your own boss, you got your own time of waking up and spending time with your kids and of course the financial freedom that it provides.

I would just like to share the very person that is responsible where I am right now, my wife. If not because of her support and understanding (when I was just starting, I was just earning $500 a month avg, but she never nag at me), I won't be as successful as I am today. She gave all the support, love and understanding. Indeed, behind a man's success is a woman.

I do not want to sound that "cheesy" here, but I just want to share to you that success cannot be achieved alone, you should always have your buddy, your friend, someone you trust and someone who is brave enough to tell everything even if it hurts you.

How about you? Who is your greatest supporter in IM?

My family. i started with very little knowledge of IM but they never pulled me down. They never told me to stop what I'm doing and at the same time they kept me grounded on every success I have.

    My greatest supporter - myself

    Just joking.

No, I’ve been blessed with amazing people in my life. I owe them a lot. Without them, I would have taken a very different route.

From mentors who inspired me to strive for excellence and who have been very, very patient with what I was then, just a kid and even supported me financially …

… to amazing girls and women that inspired me to be a better person, to accept my faults and to fix them … and which acted as a muse for a lot of goals, from financial to training for a marathon even to public speaking …

… to amazing friends that have been there and helped me way above the call of duty … who gave me their times and even resources when I needed them.

I am grateful for each and every special person that was or is in my life and I know that it would have been 100 times harder without their help, love and attention.

I would love to say that I’m self-made. In a way, I am. I’ve put in the work and I’ve taken the risks. But in the same time, every time things went south, special people were there for me. Again, I am grateful and this is real wealth - not money.

It would be the same as you, my wife. I guess a woman is behind every success of a man.

Kidding aside, she has really helped me when work pressures me a lot. She helps me calm my nerves and focus on the tasks ahead.

I have nobody to thank except for my amazing clientele. Whether it has been one article or 1000, all my clients have been great. I am single and live alone so it truly is "just me."

  • Good post!

At some point, the support and input (help) of other people is essential in any entrepreneur's success. Although I understand "self-made man (or woman)" is a powerful expression, I think there's place for another one. Something that would include the "other people's contribution".

Woman is very important in a life of a man. I have my fiancee who is very important to me and her support is crucial. Believing in God and his mercy helps me even more.
