Hello everyone

I have been Reading this fórum for some time and i love it , i like the atmosphere in here , motivation , advice , self-discipline , everyone trying to help so i have decided to take part of it .

I hope that writing here will help me to finally achieve the change I want in my life and will also help the rest inspiring them .

I´m going to try to introduce myself without making it very long.

From a professional point of view I'm an engineer that moved to the UK two years ago just after finishing the university . I received really high qualifications in the university and as soon as I arrived to the UK I started working in a good project with a good salary .The project is close to finish and I need to plan my next step in my professional life ( luckily I have various offers ).
I know in this forum nearly all people works for themselves as bloggers but what I like is the construction so I don´t know if this is the right place to post this but I think it is because my challenge/story is going to be about habit changes , self-discipline and perseverance.

At this moment in my life ( I´m 25 ) I can say I don´t like the way I'm living my life so this is going to be my challenge to change my life by changing by bad habits and pursue my dream.

This is just an introduction , in following posts i will explain what is my main objetive and the habits i´m going to try to change .

Regards

    My dream

My main objetive and what i really enjoy is to become a brilliant engineer in order to travel around the world meeting new people and cultures at the same time that i construct buildings or structures that will leave my fingerprint in all places i visit .

In order to achieve this goal i know i have to change some of the habits that are stopping me from success . One important thing i have learnt about trying to change habits is that is better to do it slowly and concentrating in no more than 2 or 3 at the same time .

For the moment i´m going to concentrate in the one that i consider it steal more time from me and is the amount of time that i spend in internet websites reading and checking events about sport , it´s clear i like sports ( football , tennis , nba .....) but just following the news , forums and results from a load of teams i follow steal a lot of productive time from myself so i have decided to reduce my contact con the sport media to some podcast that i will listen when i jog or walk to work .

Just changing this habit will suppose much more time for my really important goal .

During the coming days i will keep this updated with my progress and i will add some more habits i want to change as well.

Hey Kike. Welcome to The Forum. : )

Sounds like you have the desire to succeed and that's half the battle.

This part of the Forum is all about using your "mind" (etc.) to accomplish your goal(s) so I think it's fine to post your dream here.

    Cheers,
    Jonathan

10 Habit's change to transform my life for ever and recover my health

During the last twoyears I have developed some bad habits that has nearly destroyed my life . Theyhave converted me in a kind of person completely different from the one I wantto be and have created an imbalance in my hormones due to a lot of stress thathas put me in a really unhealthy situation ( lack of energy , changes of moodand constant visits to the doctor ).

I know thatchanging habits it's quite difficult and I shouldn't concentrate in more than 1or 2 at the same time so number 1 and 2 are going to be the ones that I need toconcentrate in but having the other ones in mind if possible.

        1.Solve the addictionto sport forum/news reading .

        2.Recover from myeating disorder.

3.To take actionand not to procrastination tasks.

        4.Improve mysleeping habits.

        5.To be tidier.

        6.To build-up myself-confidence.

7.To try to write in this forum everyday.

8.To invest in myself improving my English and engineering knowledge.

        9.To learn todrive.

10.To keep in touchwith friends more often.

    Hi,

Just a few days ago I made a similar commitment to post regularly on this forum. I see a lot of similarity with your top 10 list and what I want to achieve. I am changing my habits just like you, one at a time for 30 days and it's working great. Don't lose focus you realized many things at a relatively young age and that's fantastic.

Thank a lot for your comments

For the moment everything is ok , just concentrating in my first two habits and quite proud .

Plenty of time for myself as i don´t waste so much time watching sports and news and i spend it in investing in my knowledge and my health .

Today was my first intermitent fasting day with the purpose of recovering from my eating disorder , it was really hard to be fasted during 16 hours but i know that after 3-4 days the body will get used and my life will be easier .

The feeling of being proud of yourself and of your effort is amazing ¡¡¡¡

4 days in my intermittent fasting challenge and success for the moment , today i manage 18 hours fasting .

It really helps me to solve my eating disorder of being thinking about food the whole day but these first days till the body get used are being difficult , the hunger appears during the fast .

I have read that this is normal during the first days but that after a week you feel wonderful during the fasting time and no hungry at all .

Anyone else in intermittent fasting who can give me advice ?

        thank you

Hey kike58, I have done intermittent fasting on and off for the past 2 years.
I really find that my mind feels more focused whilst in the fasted state. I go with 18 hours fasted state, I only eat between the hours of 1pm and 7pm.
One thing I would like to add though is be careful if you do any exercise make sure that its not towards the end of your fasted state, because your body will be in a catabolic state (Meaning your body will break down muscle for energy).

    Hope this helps.

    Gavin
