Do You Have What It Takes To Be A Successful Marketer

You could have the best business model in the world and all the resources you need to make it work, but if you don't have what it takes to be successful then you won't.


Are you:
  • Delusional (Able to believe you will be successful in the hard times and when people are trying to bring you down with negative comments)
  • Self-Motivated (Able to take consistent daily action without a boss over your shoulder telling you what to do)
  • Mentally Tough ( Able to commit to being successful and able to stay focused despite distractions and temptations)
  • Thick-Skinned (Negative comments are powerless against you)
  • Perseverant (You won't stop until you're successful)
  • Self-Reliant (You take responsibility for everything and don't blame others for anything going wrong)
  • Bold (Willing and able to get out of your comfort zone in order to achieve your goals)
  • Fearless (Able to act despite feeling high levels of fear and anxiety)
  • Self-Disciplined (Able to develop a daily routine of taking action towards achieving your goals)
  • Faithful (Belief in yourself that you will be successful no matter what)
  • Driven (Motivated to take action and enjoy the pursuit of achieving your goal)
Those are only a few of some of the most important personality traits needed in order to start a successful business from scratch.


If you have all of those personality traits then as long as you're taking consistent action towards creating your business, you will be successful in due time.


If you don't have any of those personality traits, then you need to work on developing those traits because you will need them.

    Good Post, I would add Positive mental attitude. In business and in life, the one thing you can be sure of is that there will be difficult times. Success or failure will be determined by ones ability to persevere and continue to stay positive. If doubt and negativity are allowed to take control then failure will probably follow.

    Another attribute that is really important is 'Charity'.

    Successful businesses/entrepreneurs are ones that realise that you have to provide quality to the marketplace to be successful. You have to provide a solution to help others.

    Zig Ziglar put it really well:

    "You can have everything in life that you want, if you help enough other people to get what they want."

      Yes. Charity, and an attitude of service is important. Marketing is all about giving people what they want. Normally when you focus on helping others and giving them as much value as possible, the money follows.

      When I say "delusional" I mean you have to embrace the idea that you will be successful even when it seems like it is impossible or extremely difficult. So in a sense you would have to be delusional to believe you can be successful even when everything around you says that it probably won't happen. What I'm saying is there is nothing wrong with being a little delusional when you're chasing a dream or goal that will require a lot of faith and persistent action.
