How I Wasted A Weekend Of Productivity!
If you haven't realized this yet, getting things done and producing measurable results is the only way to true success. Ideas are WORTHLESS if there is no WORK & EXECUTION behind them.
I wasted my entire weekend trying to fix a stupid feature on my blog. And I can honestly say that is the most stupidest thing that I have ever done since having my breakthroughs online and generating a consistent income.
Goes to show you that old habits die hard. Instead of me creating content for my new project that I'm working on to increase my income , I was beating my head against the wall trying to fix one tweak on my website.
If there was one thing that led me to having major break troughs last year it was making sure that my WORK & TIME SPENT was focusing on things that resulted to generating sales.
I know from past successes that an entrepreneur is supposed to focus on his strengths. I had NO business trying to figure out HTML and code shit. (EMF) It was stupid of me to do that.
I know that my strengths are creating content and setting up advertising campaigns and getting the over all site ready. BUT customizing is my weakness. And while I usually pay for this type of work to developers, the guy who was willing to do the work was charging what I felt was a high price.
But now that I look at it I should have paid the price because it cost 3 days of frustration and little to no work done on things that mattered. Today was a good reminder for me to always outsource things I know I can't do that way my energy could be focused on my strengths.
In simplest terms, DON'T SPEND YOUR TIME TRYING TO DO THINGS YOU KNOW YOU CAN'T DO. FOCUS ON THE SHIT THE MATTERS. QUIT TRYING TO DO EVERYTHING. IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY A DEVELOPER DO IT. I HAD THE MONEY TO PAY FOR A SERVICE BUT BECAUSE OF MY OLD HABITS OF WANTING TO GET A GOOD DEAL IT COST ME 3 DAYS OF WASTED PRODUCTIVITY.
DO SHIT THAT MATTERS!
FOCUS ON YOUR STRENGTHS!
