My career in internet marketing just plan sucks. Even when I try to move on and open new windows to achieve other goals it seems like there is always the devil coming in from under the ground and stomping on my joy.

Why does that always happen!?

I'm sitting here just crying because I thought I had a big project coming and discover nope...He didn't mean he wanted a large project ... he wants something tiny and small that I don't even do. So the hour long email I wrote late last night and the excitement I felt before going to bed was nothing...

Depression devil is here once again... Now I have to decide if I spend money on diapers or pay bills. Maybe I could duck tape a t-shirt on her instead... lol

And the worst part of today is that I still have to write stories for the same guy.. icing on the depression cake.. LOL...

Thanks for reading.

Venting does help. I know that for sure. I agree that it sucks when people say they have work for you but it never happens. I have had it happen numerous times and I try not to let it get me down. However, the black dog does sometimes rear its ugly head.

Try not to let it get to you. You are better than that.

You said you still have to write articles for the same guy? How come? I wouldn't if he did the dirty on me.
I always get paid upfront, especially for new customers.

Keep venting or feel free to pm me if you want a "private vent." I have 2 ears and 1 mouth and I user them in direct proportion.

Congratulations, you just made it one step closer to success!

Crushing failures, depression and despair are all part of the process. The people who end up successful are the ones who go through it all, and carry on chasing their goals.

Be warned, there's probably a lot more of it to come. But hey, nothing worth having comes easy, right?

Don't see all of it as a brick wall that means you have to stop. See it as an opportunity to prove you are better than all the rest that gave up. Climb that wall, dig under it, blow it up if you have to. Just don't let it beat you.

  • Just don't give up. Try moving away from the people you are spending time with, try learining new things about your job. Plans, ideas that once never crossed your mind, all of a sudden seem natural to think. Just because you "Synthesize" new ones.

Take care. I hope everything works out fine for you!

When that devil pops out you need to be the one to do the stomping...on him this time.

It's a good time to take a moment and analyze what you did wrong. Truthfully, it was you that did something wrong and not anyone else. So the devil popped out because you made him do it.

Aiming too low? Were you not clear about your fees and skills?

Some body says it was Einstein who said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Stomp that devil on it's little head and keep moving, not letting an imp steal away your motivation and momentum. I don't know your situation, but don't leave yourself vulnerable like this. Get a job or a second job if possible, then you won't be leaving yourself the potential alternative of not knowing how you're going to pay your bills.

When you have that security then you can devote some quality time to your own business. Don't go for that "rags to riches" story, that's the one percent of the one percent story that looks so glorious in print but in reality it's something much different.

That's great, if you have setbacks, disappointments and failure - it's awesome. It means you're moving further. I never met anybody who had achieved anything worthwhile and never had any setbacks. Just don't quit. You remember that story about "quiting just three feet from gold". When you hit the lowest point and you feel like you can't move forward, it's a great sign and your success is probably around just the corner.
