How do you stay motivated while blogging and do you have a routine?

Hey everybody. Haven't posted anything in a little while but haven't really seen many good posts on here lately either. So I decided to start this one while asking a simple question and giving my own story as well. I was mostly just wanting to know how do you stay motivated while blogging and if you have a routine or certain day of the week that you devote to adding new content? I usually add new content once a week on Mondays and will follow up with a YouTube video for it that night or the next day depending on if I have to work or not. I have been blogging for about 7 months now and while I'm pretty self motivated about getting them done when they need to be, it has been tough when you have obligations to your family and you're still waiting on that stream of traffic from Google. I know that this is not a fast process and it can take 100's of articles to really start building a following or building up your ranks in the search engines for that matter. I guess I really just wanted to get some inspiration from some of you that have already been down this road and to be told not to give up, keep adding more content or something good like that

I think I have a pretty decent website and have spent quite a bit of time making it the best that it can be. While I know that metal detectors are probably not at the top of everybody's list of things to get right away, I can also see the possibilities of keeping this site around for a few more years and consistently adding new content to it as well. If I can do this and also make a few hundred more YouTube videos at the same time, I think eventually I will start to get some more results from Google and hopefully be able to get closer to the top of the search engines. I have already gotten quite a few shares of my website and while I've been getting a bunch of clicks on my amazon store, I'm still not really making any sales yet either. Do you think it is a matter of getting more traffic, building more trust with my readers, or simply needing to have the site for a longer amount of time or something? All well, hope to hear back from some of you guys about your stories and what kind of routines that you have about staying motivated as well. It is a little easier when I have music going or something and have also noticed that I can write posts that are over 2000+ words in just a couple hours without really having any problems anymore. Writer's block use to be kind of an issue for me but it is a little easier when you write from the heart and don't spend too much time second guessing what you've written. My main inspiration is and always will be my family and while it may take me another year or two to really get the results that I'm wanting to get, I'm willing to stick this out for the long haul for them and will hopefully be able to look back and say that I was able to accomplish my dream as well. Just wish me luck with it

Motivation for blogging is like motivation for any goal. Find a big WHY that forces you to take action.

Once you have that. It all comes down to taking action daily.

It all starts with your WHY.

    Cheers,

    C.G.

  • Not all IMers are writers and bloggers. Probably, most are hiring writers to do content writing and blogging.

Although content writing can be a huge factor in terms of traffic and sales, there are those who chose to outsource this task and decide to focus more on how to build and get traffic to their site.

In my experience too, posting good and content every day helps A LOT when it comes to SEO. I do not do a lot of off-page SEO work but I focus mostly on my onsite SEO, my content, and I do paid traffic like PPC and solo ads.
