The Best Productivity Tip You Can Use Right Now

Hey Guys,

I've got a couple of cool little productivity tips that you can use right now.

I just want to know which one you thinks the coolest. I'll be making a video out of the best one!

First up we've got: Use Earphones Without the Music. When you use earphones at work it sets up the expectation that you're busy, or in deep focus. This will help deter people from interrupting you with menial tasks.

Next we've got: Schedule Checking Your Email. I've mentioned it in another post but on average an office worker checks their email 30 times per HOUR. Now that just seems absolutely insane. Now you might not be checking your email 30 times an hour but your definitely checking it a lot more than you should, and all that little time adds up. So what do you do? Schedule times when you check your email. I check my email twice a day; at noon and at 4pm (towards the end of work).

Now we've got: Just Say No. Just learn to say no to menial tasks or obligations if you've got other important things to do. Saying "No" in your business isn't about being rude. It's about being productive and getting work done.

Here we've got: Using Modes. Instead of focusing on working by project - or even action - you need to look at tasks based on mode (Writing Mode, Email Mode, Planning Mode, Home Mode) so that your mindset is better connected to the tasks you need to complete. You can set them out in days like I did in this post.

Finally we've got: Write your Todo List the Night Before. This may seem simple, but it lets your subconscious work on what you have planned as you sleep, and you'll wake up the next morning full of purpose and momentum - and that leads to a VERY productive day.

Now please let me know which one you liked best.

Cheers, Zach.
