The Warrior Forum, a visual representation.

The WF is doing a survey, here is what it looks like to me:

https://youtu.be/S7qn9eXrIKo

This old Pachinko machine is spitting balls out the top, and they bounce off the pins and reach the bottom to go back into the pool of balls being flung up.

You (the new person) are like the balls, bouncing off of this idea, that sub-forum, and as often as not, find yourself right back where you started, at the bottom in a pool of wannabees.

This visual is how you can benefit from the WF.

https://youtu.be/h6itJ1GkTqI

You start out going in circles, big SLOW circles, but you keep inching toward the center, and your speed picks up, and you get faster and faster and as you go into the funnel, your speed is blinding, and you get where you wanted to go.

OK. So, how do you apply these visuals?

It is OK to bounce around for a little while, but, the initial time at the WF is best spent on identifying ideas and methods which resonate with your goals.

The person who comes here with a clearly defined goal, is going to be like the coin in the funnel, because it can only go one direction.

You want to make money, right?

And there are many different ways to do it, pick one that suits you, and it gets easier or faster...don't have a clue, get bounced around like the pachinko ball which lands back at the bottom.

Which type of Warrior are you?

Bouncing off of every new "shiny object", going whichever direction the bounce takes you?

OR are you focused on finding what will suit you (slow circle of time, until you find it), then a speedy journey to what you want?

My opinion the best first move you can make is to write down your goals and list your strengths and weaknesses and use ONE important tool to make your decisions...

the tool...

is...

WHY? Ask yourself this question before you spend any money, before you go down anyone's rabbit hole, before you waste valuable time being bounced around.

WHY? Then when you have your good answer, then DO.

But, I may be wrong too.

Sometimes the bouncing around (and spending money on new shiny objects) is part of determining what is the right fit, and the right direction, and the right set of goals for yourself. We get promised we'll make zillions if we just learn to do <fill in the blank here> just like <person who is crushing it> does, using the tools he uses. And so we go try that method for a bit, and sometimes discover a. it isn't working for us (usually because we haven't stuck with it long enough) and/or b. this method just doesn't seem like something we'd like to keep doing, it doesn't fit.

But the sooner we hone in on the one that suits us, the better.

Main thing is to take action, get going on something. Best to take action on a real plan, a real business plan, with real strategies. But, gosh, DO something!

Uhhh...why did this get moved here from the main forum?

Nobody is going to see it here--at least, not the huge number of people who could benefit from it.

It's NOT "Mind Warrior" stuff...it's what every newbie needs to see.

Maybe dress it up a little more and put it in the War Room, gjabiz.

  • Thanks for the visual analogy.

My only gripe is that in both examples, the ball is at the mercy of its environment, and the operatin' force is gravity rather than levity, but hey --- gotta love a black hole simulator.

Mebbe Sanyo should build some Moth & Volcano apparatus.

In this scenario, it is your mission (as moth) to get as close to the volcano's white heat dead center as you can without gettin' your wings burned off.

You gotta go, because you are drawn to the light, an' you fly in, again an' again, collidin' only with the product of your own emergin' mothy spidersense, an' beatin' a path always in different versions of one clear direction.

Mebbe you never reach your goal, mebbe the goal is impossible, but your only other trick is to flutter round in circles in the dark.

I am inspired now to make a moth costume.

I will have wings, I will have antennae, I will have a Rorschach splat of dragon shapes --- an' mebbe saffron for dust.

Ironically, when I came here, I really didn't buy shiny objects. In fact, as with my offline business ventures, I always bought the tools to get the job done more efficiently and professionally, and in-turn; "let the business pay for itself."

This business is a bit more complex, as there are tons of tools, strategies, and mechanical engineering (or mathematical probabilities) in pre-determining where to lead people, and what to actually offer them.

If someone described what they wanted their new bathroom to look like, I can visualize it, package it, propose it, sell it, and install it.

Yet, I came into this arena wanting to write and see if there was actually a way I could write my own paychecks through online publications.

Obviously, the answer is; a resounding YES!

And like Amber mentioned, many of my early successes online involved affiliate products and writing reviews, etc...

I made money, and learned very quickly that relying exclusively on 3rd party affiliate commissions was only a fraction of what could become, if I create my own info products.

So, rather than rush in for a paycheck... I have taken the slow methodical approach, whereby, I am zeroing in on utilizing several components of marketing to self-publish ebooks, eCourses, training materials, and informative writings that ideally will help guide others, while setting me free to write full time.

    Meanwhile, now that it all makes sense... I plan to simplify it down to the following;

    - Paid traffic
    - Powerful Landing/Squeeze
    - Cultivate Lists
    - Direct Visitors to Beneficial Solutions
    - Follow up through emails 80/20 rule in full effect
    - Build residual monthly income to $8k $10k monthly (go full-time online)
    - Produce recordings using video, screenshots, & audio files of my personal case studies while split-testing ads, landing pages, opt-ins, conversion rates, etc... and utilize that info as future re-purposed content for future product creations.

Naturally, I'll still promote affiliate products, but creating a controlled environment or business I believe; required me to sacrifice the money in a disciplined effort to prepare accordingly for online success.

Lastly, while I NEVER bought shiny objects...

I did buy over 200 domains at one point, thinking I was going to develop them all, lol. That was my biggest wasted expense to date, as I now have only 14 domains.

It is difficult choosing one method, as eventually, I intend to have a variety of websites ranging from blogs, to review sites, e-commerce stores, and cater to offline businesses through mobile based services.

    My biggest problem:

Letting go. Allowing others to handle specific aspects of the building process, such as outsourcing, hiring VA's, and people to manage social networks, customer service, etc...

Cause quite frankly, what I am engineering will be near impossible to construct single-handedly.

Thus, once I reach a minimum of $6k monthly online, I intend to reinvest 67% and live on the 33%. To do this effectively, I need to ramp it up to $10k per month in the next 3-6 months.
