Mind Warrior Forum Dead?

I used to be pretty active in this part of the forum, left for a hiatus to travel the country for a year and once I came back.. it's very minimal with posting and responses.

Is there something I missed over the last year? Did the forums members start to travel to other sections of the forum and ignore the mind warriors?

in my view ..years ago ..the topics here where around the 4 hour work week and having the lifstyle you want with the law of attraction..

now it seems to be mostlt geared to..the workaholic ..if you are going to work 12 hiours a day..might as well do im..

the tone on the forum now would make it seem your choice to reduce your income and travel.. was an acceptences of failure ..

i think what you did is great .. but it seems that the only salesmen have to sell the idea of getting rich..while .. you can live an amazing life with an average income ..

success has been by default dictated by how much is in the bank account ..and having a life ..no so much as important as giving everything up not tied to growing a business ..

I can see that for sure.

It definitely was all about working smart. Seems everyone is focused on working hard now haha.

I make much less than I did 3 years ago in IM but I'm MUCH happier.

I was averaging probably somewhere near $8,500 - $13,000/mo for quite some time but although it seemed great I was miserable. My income is now somewhere around $2,500 - $4,500/mo but it's solely made online and I'm traveling the country with no huge expenses

Hello, that's quite a drop in income, what made you decide to give it up? I guess if you aren't happy doing what makes money, there's really no point even if you have all the spare cash to burn

Sounds good to me. I do not make what I did years ago both offline and online, but I am happier as well. We do not travel as much as you, but moved from Denver to Cheyenne to be near the grand kids and it has been worth it. Working online when you want and taking the 30 sec. commute to do it is great!

figure out the lifestyle you want.. the income needed for it then do what you need to do ..to have the means to support the life you want ..

many people are still stuck in the old mindset that there will be some day they can't work any more or they need to retire and save for retirement

personally i don't want a big house and if i ever do have a big house it will be set up so have the rooms are available on air bnb ..

I think i am just a bad american with no real hunger for the consumer track..of moving to a bigger home getting more stuff and deeper in debt every year ..and the build to sell buisiness ideal..

most people on here who talk about great sucksees ignore ..the borrowing tons of money from banks and venture capatalist and building huge companies ..

to me the mareting stuff on the internet or information marketing ..is about not having to do that ..

a lot of the don't be lazy poor people stuff on here is just as the anti rich stuff you see in the media ..when a lot of the poor people i connect with work hard ..speak broken english and live a lot better here than where they came from ..

the world we live in is rapidly changing..and even the old ideas of getting rich are about to be blown up ..in the next 5 years looking at the trends over the next 10 years ..when the compture you using will be 2-4 time the processing speed of your brain ..and the cellphon you have will double as a tricorder like device from star trac and most of the cars on the road will be fully automated .. and many people won't need a car ..and you will only need car insurance if you insist on driving the car manually .

forget that there may be solar pain you can put on your house ..so you will at least have no utility bill ..

poor people today eat in the modernized world eat like rich people did 100 years ago..have better health care .. dental care.. and far more choices for entertainment ..and far more information ..

the integrated use of tech and the internet..will destroy the current education model..in the next 5-10 years ..

everything is changing..there is no more pre determined american dream..or corperate ladder to climb..or wor 30 or 40 years and retire ..

you have to figure out the lifestyle you want.. make the money to have that lifestyle and take care of your health

We've gotta work hard to bring this forum section back to life people! There's only been a few posts since I made this (in the actual forum). Let's light that fire!

blah ..im not for working hard ..we have the stuff we do in the modern world by regularly replacing hard work done by people with mechanical things or digital means ..

be nice to hear more from those like you .. with mobile lifestyle ..while earning enough online to support it .. and not working 12 hour days in front of the computer to do it ..

that was the old im.crowed years and years ago.. now it's been taken over by the gary vanerchuck/ eric thomas ..motivation .. thats an extension of old style MLM motivation

Yeah I think I average around 3 or 4 hours a day on the computer now. Outside of that I'm typically just enjoying life and learning new things. Actually working on learning piano and playing billiards a lot now
