What is it with people and not wanting to work?

Hey folks,

Just needed to vent some frustration I have with people these days, if that's alright with you! Let's begin with the question at hand, shall we?

- What is it with people and not wanting to work? Why do people who want to start an actual online business usually tend to trick themselves into thinking that it's going to be smooth sailing?

Well, there's no clear answer to this question, other than the fact we as human beings are very lazy and often incredibly comfortable for each passing day.

But then there's another reason to why I personally believe that many people venturing into the online business management and internet marketing world delude themselves into thinking that anything's possible and that they don't have to work for the money...

...And that's all of these "success stories" and inspirational background stories being told by all of the well-known internet marketers of today's era. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing on them or calling them manipulators as they've certainly accomplished more than me in their time online.

I'm just pointing out the fact that they never seem to emphasize on the fact that failures happen and that it takes a tremendous amount of work in order to actually develop a successful online business.

Think about it for a second...

You never (or rarely at least) see the top marketers sharing their failures or how many hours of work, promoting, marketing and research they put down in order to make it work. They keep on selling the false dream of the 4-hour work week, intentionally or unintentionally.

Am I wrong here or am I just coming off as the jealous type? Of course I'm jealous! They're making top dollar while I'm stuck busting my hump 200 hours a month with 2 jobs, barely having any time to work on my upcoming business (which I spend 2-3 hours every evening on) while balancing the family life.

But then again, that's just a part of life?

Anyway, let's not side-step too much. What I came here to say is this:

I'm tired of people complaining over how they're not getting anywhere with their online businesses when they're clearly not giving it the right amount of time and work needed.

But then again, they stumble blindly upon site after site posting huge numbers on their monthly income reports, telling their always extremely inspirational story on how they became successful, and then think to themselves:

"Hey if they can, then so can I!"

Only if you actually work for it!

To summarize this rather disorganized rant about annoyances on my side, I'll say this:

If you truly want to succeed with your online business(es) then you need to work hard for it. Screw other people's stories, no matter how motivational. Instead, find a way to motivate yourself, and I mean genuinely motivate yourself. It needs to come from inside yourself, that's the only way you'll be able to stick with the bad times, and be able to thrive in the good ones.

So work hard and never stop, that's the only way you're ever going to see some real results in this racket. Treat your online business like it is, a business, a real, existing business that needs your genuine devotion and time in order to survive and ultimately thrive.

Don't be one of those "get-rich-quick" or "let's-make-money-and-not-work-for-it" kind of people, be better than that!

Cheers!

I believe that laziness isn't the dominant trait that prevents people from committing to work.

I believe that there are forefronted traits which cause laziness which is perhaps secondary.

Lack of self balance and belief for example can serve at the precursor to laziness which manifests as a result.

Throughout my studies, I've noted that many people who are depressed tend to be unproductive / lazy by default. 'work' is usually channelled into unproductive things as an outward projection of the state of the mind. People who have disorganised homes tend to be arranging (or not arranging) material as a representation if their inner workings.

It all about building a stable foundation and the 'walls', if I may call them that, tend to fall into place holding much greater stability.

      Hi Daniel, Karistech,

Daniel, yes - you pinpointed a significant deterrent to success, period. Depression does play a big role. So do low self esteem, fear of embarrassment, fear of rejection, confusion, and feeling overwhelmed.

I've been around a long time and yet, I find myself wanting to punch the screen because a successful Warrior has said to do something without explaining what the hell he's talking about. Frustrated, I'm left mentally screaming nasties.

So let's add discouragement to the lineup. After all, how many methods are shouted at newbies as being the best method? How many cool tools are touted as "must have"? How the dickens is a newbie supposed to know what is going wrong?

Is it the method? The marketing? The need for another widget or plug-in or auto-whatever? Too many graphics or too few? Content? Headlines? Subheads? What's worn out and what is working now that didn't work last month? Good God Almighty! A newbie can die of old age before figuring it out.

Yes, Karis, for the most part young people today have been taught to expect instant gratification. They have been raised to feel entitled to instant gratification. If it doesn't happen fast enough, change the channel or pull up another game.

Take that attitude and throw it into a swirling mass of DO THIS! YOU NEED THAT! YOU'LL LOSE IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO THIS! and what can anyone expect to occur?

    What a rant man!

And I know what you mean here. There are people who are lazy and think that an online business is "easy" - just because it is the "Internet".

There are those successful online marketers who only talk about their success, and not their failures and the hard work they had to put in. BUT, there are also those who actually do tell their entire story.

It is up to you, who you want to listen to more. But there are these two type of leaders online - there is no doubt about that!!!!

And also, realize, that there are always different kind of people online. You will always, and always, AND ALWAYS, find those who are lazy and are looking for easy ways to success, and there are those who are quite the opposite - and truly understand that it takes a lot of consistent massive action, time and effort to make it happen.

Again, it is UP TO YOU, what type of people you want to pay attention to.

Where your Focus goes, your Energy flows!!

    Energy makes your reality.

Don't even pay attention to the lazy people man!

Concentrate on what you do right - what you do best. And focus on your own production.

If you think too much about ..."people this, people that, and blah blah blah.." .. you will always encounter this type of people online - and you will surround yourself with what you are thinking about the most.

What you think about, you bring about!

Understand, and realize, that there will not be a day (not any time soon at least), when there is more or less - of either type of people. There will always be those who are lazy and don't really "get it", and there will be those who are not lazy and actually do get it!And you always have a choice, what type of people you want to show up in your reality. This is simple Quantum Physics man!

You are the creator of your own reality.

Just my rant as well haha

    This.

I don't think I am being controversial when I say that most people are more suited to working for someone else than running their own business. Nothing wrong with that it's just how most people are. They like the paycheck coming in every month and they like to switch off when they leave work.

A lot of people are drawn into thinking MMO is easy by extremely effective marketing.

    Those success stories sell.

Once people get to the download area, unzip all the files and go through the training reality bites as they realise, in fact, it is going to take work (a lot of it) to get results.

Some people quit, some complain and some move onto the next new thing.

But a few people stick at it. They will fail along the way but they will often make it work.

Some of the guru types that I have come across have shared their failures. It's a big part of what they are teaching, fail forward, fail quickly.

Well what is a successful online business? To me it's making some serious bank with as much automation as possible hopefully leading to a large amount of recurring passive income for as long as possible. I don't want to work hard, I want to work smart. And if my "work" even starts to feel like work then I don't want to do it. We only live once. I want to work hard-ly ever and make an obscene amount of money. That's not being lazy, that's being super clever! You want to be hustling forum sigs and WSO's all your life? Come on now. Do you see any of the big guns doing that? Of course not!

I'm tired of people complaining over how they're not getting anywhere with their online businesses when they're clearly not giving it the right amount of time and work needed.
NO, it's because they come here with their tales of woe and a start up budget of $100. And everyone tells them they can make it big if they work hard. Which of course they can't no matter how hard they work. "too busy working hard to make any money"!

To summarize this rather disorganized rant about annoyances on my side, I'll say this:

    .

OR, the proven way is to follow and relentlessly study those who've ALREADY achieved what you desire, then learn and copy them. If you want to be an innovator, go be Steve Jobs somewhere. Most of the biggest success stories in IM learned DIRECTLY from those who went before them and they paid out a lot of money for the privilege. it is what it is.

Don't be one of those "get-rich-quick" or "let's-make-money-and-not-work-for-it" kind of people, be better than that!
Nope, I'm going to be EXACTLY like that! and you'll NEVER see a forum sig or WSO from me brah!

oh another one of these posts ..

let me tell you a secret .. big secret ... that the people doing im ..and the people who di direct mail before there was an internet ..knew ..

95 % of the people who buy the biz op or next product .. may never even read much or any of it ..

so ..calm down.. stop worrying about these people ..and put your mental effort into using the 2-3 hours you have a day to build and income that replaces on jub..then the other ..

and answer me..how long where you one of them.. who where buying product after product looking for the easy way ..

well not really the easy way ..the convenient .. there is a difference ..

it is real easy ..to fry an egg brew coffee and have an egg sandwich for breakfest..its convient ..though may actually take more time to go to the coffee shop and but the sanwich and coffee..while paying 3 times more than it cost to do it at home ..

so .. ignore the vast majority of people ..and if you want to make money understand it's your job to add value by making some thing easier and more convenient for people ..you are going to have a hard time n\making money if you are selling hard work or here is how i can make your life harder ..

  • Addin' value means givin' people what they didn't want until they knew it existed, so I guess that tells ya how much work gonna be involved in generatin' the newsome from scratcho.

Anythin' else is degrees of slipstreamin'.

But it is weird about work.

I wanna work, I wanna function, I wanna be a conduit between flesh an' brain an' time an' the unfoldin' of the Cosmos.

Pleasure gonna feature here, for sure, along with idlin' an' chillin' an' alla that stuff, but there gotta be stoccato bursts of drillin' down punctuatin' the juice or the sweetness turns to water.

Two Sunday sleeps till Christmas an' who is the goober whiteknucklin' on the typin' out of the necessaries?

Oh, yeah, yeah, that Balestra is no smart f*cker, look at her, hunched over the keyboard like some slave troll.

But I had moments today between the perspirin' an' the sulks where inspirational dragons kissed on necessity's monsters an' kinda shifted me out beyond my numb-butt seat to a fairground ride spun on the DNA of those creatures' offspring.

Gonna smack down a bottle later an' I know all soothe of oblivion gonna make me question that last para ('cos NOW gotta justify itself or ur doomed), but this is massage vs flex, glow vs spark, rumble vs thunderclap, peck vs snog, an' I figure "smart" work (as I understand it) kinda ducks out on the full blitzkrieg deal.

I do not care if this appears to be frickin' nonsense.

The stigma created by a misunderstanding of the Law of Attraction which has become a trending fad in this day and age causes a lot of people to remaining the realms of the wishers and dreamers..as they think because they wish for something sporadically that it will end up in their laps.

The only real way to get results is to build up a momentum each and everyday, doing what may seem insignificant at first, but through persistence, improvement and application the results begin to trend in an ever increasingly favorable fashion towards the results we want.

Instant gratification is a poison that has infected the minds of society today and no one is willing to pay the price to earn the anti dote!
