What types of music do you listen too when doing business?

I listen to a lot of instrumentals. It helps my focus.

Always trance because I simultaneously visualize while working on a task.

Now a days i usually will put on Noisli or RainyMood

A friend of mine showed me some interesting research on productivity increase from white noise while working versus regular music.

I absolutely love it now and wish i would have been hip to this some time ago, i feel for me I am far less distracted when this is playing versus music which has the tendancy to take your mind to other less productive places lol

Try it out though, you might be surprised. Noisli is neat because there are like 10+ filters you can tune just how ya like

Trance is nice. I like putting it on slow motion for more of a relaxing effect.

I never heard of noisli, I like the idea. I use natura sound therapy when programming.

Music with NO Lyrics. Lyrics disturb me from my work. It is still best if you don't blast music. Usually you can focus better in a quiet and secluded room.

I agree, that's why I like instrumental. Otherwise, I'll start singing and getting distracted

Listening to a music can really help to keep your focus and also help you to relax...

My job is related with PC and internet, so if I want to be successful I have to have a full focus. With a music like ambient, lounge or down tempo and a big cup of coffee can really help me keep my focus on 100%.

    As a thumb of rule.

If you are thinking of ideas and writing articles = music with no lyrics.

Apart from that, you can blast music on your likings.

I am a fan of music like Blackmill. It is soothing yet energetic. Some have lyrics some song don't. I like anything that will allow me to focus on my work and won't upset anyone else around me.

I enjoy a mixture of Trance, Punk and alternative. Anything that is fast pace usually wakes me up and gets me motivated but, I also like a slower pace to stay focused and feel relaxed.

I mainly listen to heavy music

from 90's alternative grunge to Thrash and death metal.

Kinda hypes me up and kills the dullness of the day.
Slayer and Dying fetus is usually top my metal playlist

Alice in chains, Pearl Jam and Stone Temple for the alternative and grunge.

This is the first thread I saw that talks about music. If you are into instrumentals, try listening to Dream Theater's "Overture 1928". Have you heard of Harem Scarem? Try listening to their "baby with a nail gun", "See Saw" and "Mandy". The first song however is somewhat cacophonous to some pair of ears (but not mine). How about Joe Satriani, does his name rings a bell? Try his "crying" and "love thing", those two are ear-friendly.
