"There are no guarantees in life"

Is that a contradictory belief if your chasing your dreams and goals?

We need belief, deep rooted belief and confidence in order for us to achieve what we want to achieve. We have to really believe we'll get there.

Conor McGregor has an incredibly strong mental game and he has achieved his goals because he believed without doubt that he could achieve them. He guaranteed he would do what he did, and he did it.

So if you were to accept "There are no guarantees in life" as a truth of life, would I in fact be self sabotaging myself?

How can I believe I will achieve something while believing that there's no guarantees in life?

What's your thoughts?

    meh not really

It's just cold hard fact that there are no guarantees in life, but should that stop you?

There are no guarantees but you need to believe in yourself and work your ass off to make it pretty damn certain, otherwise your just screwed.

Well, there are couple of things that you should do before you build your faith in you...

First, you have to release from your fears! Second, you have be aware about your emotions and pleasures! Third, building a self-confidence! Fourth, love and respect yourself. Fifth, speak the truth. Sixth, rely on your intuition! Seven, learn to let go!

I don't think it's necessarily self sabotaging...depending on how you define the word "guarantee".

For example, if "guarantee" is equivalent to "certainty" then to say there are no guarantees... but you still take inspired action toward your dreams, then I think it's actually the opposite of self sabotaging...its self empowering.

I say that because if you've suspended the need to have guaranteed success before you take action, then you're forcing yourself to stretch...to grow.

If you only take action when something is guaranteed then you'll either never move at all or when you do...you don't grow from it.

    Death and Taxes are 'guaranteed'.

Is that a contradictory belief if your chasing your dreams and goals?
You should never chase anything. Anything you chase, you will never catch.

We need belief, deep rooted belief and confidence in order for us to achieve what we want to achieve. We have to really believe we'll get there.
The only thing that moves you forward in life is by 'taking action'. And no one takes enough action unless they believe they can move forward and start getting results.

So yes you need 'belief' in yourself.

So if you were to accept "There are no guarantees in life" as a truth of life, would I in fact be self sabotaging myself?
Life is about what you are willing to put in first. Those who are waiting to get without the 'give' will worry about guarantees.

How can I believe I will achieve something while believing that there's no guarantees in life?
Quit waiting for a guarantee. No one can make you feel confident enough to 'take action' with a reply from a forum post.

Go out on a limb and help yourself.

Take a risk. Aren't you worth it?

You could turn it into something empowering.

My version is that there are no guarantees in life and I could die at any time...

...so I better do everything I can so I can live and die without regrets.

There's no guarantee that we'll be successful at what we do, but it should never stop us from trying to achieve whatever it is we want to achieve.

A guarantee is a promise - we aren't born with promises of how life will be.

Doesn't matter because we are born with the POTENTIAL of what our lives can be.

Surely there are no guarantees in life but more often than not, this is where the game gets more exciting. The reason you're not able to manifest, is due to the undeniable fact that you go with the flow and that puts a cap on your imagination. Primarily, have a lucid intention in place and then take the requisite action guided by means of intuition.

I often find that an action produced a few years back produces results today. It takes time to manifest so envision a multitude of scenarios every passing day. Envisionists grow in person because they have formulated an untouchable belief system that expands against the flow. Go against the flow and the law of averages won't be able to "touch you". Seek for possibilities and leave no stone unturned as you visualize.

Expand and contrive the unthinkable: seek the paths that no one else has walked in yet. Allow thoughts to cascade with the elusive yet paramount intelligence and never fail to keep programming the mind on an ongoing basis.

The universe has "memories" built in and with incessant digging you'll be able to grab them as you go against the current, you'll see possibilities emerging out of nowhere; they will be thinly disguised and won't appear as fascinating as you'd thought they would be.

there are guarantees ..but you have t figure them out .. because they are different for each person ..and rely on genetics and environment ..

the more something is guarenteed ..the less rewarding it actually is ..

Yup, that's the fact indeed. However what you believe can be completely different with what the fact would be. And what you believe sometimes can change the fact if you grow a proper concepts and take the actions it needs to affect.

In my opinion the most important part is when you ask yourself what's the goal you want to achieve and rate yourself on how good you're overcoming your difficulties, not just using the unsatisfied fact to blame yourself.
