How to Escape the *Real World* for Good
He let off more F bombs than an insult comic.
His sharp Boston accent jarred me. Think Bill Burr crossed with any character from "The Departed."
As my wife and I flew home from our 2 and a half month trip to Costa Rica the guy behind us turned to a friend and said, "Back to the real world, eh?"
He had been cursing like mad, complaining to a friend about his job. After a quick 4 day trip to the beach he returned - begrudgingly - to a life he wasn't too keen on. I have been in his shoes.
On passing through immigration at Newark airport a TSA officer flipped through my passport. Her eyes popped out of her head. So many passport stamps! She wanted to know WHAT I did, to travel so much (she placed emphasis on the "what"). I explained. She told me how much she needed to quit her job. I shared how I was once a security guard - in a prior life - right across the Turnpike in Port Newark. And if I did it, she could too.
Sure I nabbed a new subscriber for my list Sure the Beantown guy gave me a solid lead in to this post. But the question remains: how do you escape the "Real World" for good?
1: Follow Your Fun
Follow your fun.....from a job to your dreams.
The "Real World" is a depressing place. Where people do stuff they don't like doing to get paper with numbers on it to hand some of those numbers to other people, so the other people can say, "It's OK, we won't evict you or no need to foreclose."
But you can escape that world. By doing what you love to do. Because following your passion detaches you from outcomes. And it will eventually detach you from your job too. Following your passion improves the quality and depth of your "work" and also stokes your creative fires.
In essence, starting a business or writing the book or doing whatever solely for the joy of it makes you magnetic to: creative, profitable ideas, inspirational and influential people and yes, money finds the joyful, passion-living person too.
2: Be....Then....Do
My old, 9-5 working days error: DOING stuff to attempt to manipulate circumstances. My correction: BEING a certain way, then, allowing ideas and people and actions in. I allowed it in. Versus chasing success.
We play an energy game. The Real World crowd does stuff to get stuff. The Dream Living crowd only does what they do AFTER raising their vibe. This crowd vibes higher and higher, feeling appreciative, whole and complete, THEN they act on their fun.
99.9999999% of people you meet do it in reverse. Even many millionaires and billionaires. Guys, this is not a right/wrong deal. Just understand that trying to do, and do, and act, and pushing and straining and striving keeps you bound to the Real World.
This is why some hyper successful, well known, wealthy folks ask me, "How in the frick do you do it? Traveling the world non-stop while you prosper online?"
I be. Then I do. I feel whole, complete, appreciative and detached from outcomes, acting only to have fun, much of the time, and create a freeing life for myself.
I've finally realized it's about feeling a certain way. Not about doing a certain thing. This is why many struggle online. Their doing is fine but their feelings or being is totally screwed up. Naturally, their life will be screwy and failure will continue. While the being/feeling crowd lives the dream. In many cases, this feeling/being crowd DOES little, but you betcha they outshine most other human beings.
Many top earners manifest all types of money and success, and may dig their work on some level, but they feel bound. Tied down to strict schedules, or tied to fast internet connections, or attached to outcomes. Not me. Tomorrow I can say, "Hey Kelli, let's go to Fiji!", and off we will go. I don't depend on my online gig. I don't NEED to Do to live this life. I be. All falls into place. Even if I do very little, it'll be super effective because I align myself throughout the day, feeling fun and appreciative. And leading in to the next point.....I outsource all heavy lifting to The General Manager.
3: Trust in the Universe
Without exception, everybody who rues "going back to the Real World" trusts fully in things over God, or the Universe. They trust in things like jobs and corporations and paper with numbers on it and 401 K's and health benefits. So they are a slave to that Real World. To the things.
The folks who have left that Real World put their trust in the Universe.
The only thing I do - here and there - is have fun. I outsource everything else to the Universe; money-making, traffic, etc, etc. I do not think of outcomes. Honest. Because I had been enslaved by outcomes for years. Been there. Done that.
I trust in something bigger than me, than you, and bigger than my limited, confined mind, and wouldn't you know I've spent the past 57 months living in places like Fiji, Bali and Thailand?
Here's the deal: when I learned to trust in the Universe to handle pretty much everything I *let in* (meaning, did not chase, but allowed) fun ideas, influential people and fun circumstances. Profitable ideas came in. Colorful ideas. Money flowed in. Or money-making ideas. All these ideas benefited me and others.
Feeling trusting, and appreciative, and chill, helped me act on these ideas from a relaxed space. And acting in a chill, fun, relaxed way simply helped me to manifest dream outcomes. I *did*. But it wasn't the doing. It was the being. The being, and feeling trusting of the Universe to pull all the strings while I just had fun.
Which is how I left the Real World. For good.
The Real World is not really, the Real World. It's an illusion. A hologram. Leave it. For good!
Have a fabulous weekend guys
