Presence of Mind in Experiencing Failure

I was listening to the sermon last sunday and our pastor tell a story of a person who survive the alligator
attack and he survive because he has the presence of mind!

Instead of thinking death!, he calm himself down and find a way out, avoiding to become the alligator's lunch.

I wonder if I was in that position what would I do?

Would I Panic?

Would I let myself die and be eaten by the gator?

How about you would you panic if you are in that position?

If you relate it In life, it's the same, but not as the alligator, like in a life and death situation, In Life you
panic when failure arises, you let failure drown you on becoming who you want to be



It's a Choice

Life is Choice and that is our greatest freedom today! you can make a choice in everything that's happening
in your life

If you stop reaching your dreams then it is your choice, if you persist it is your choice

maybe there are people around you who whisper to you that you can't do it, then again at the end of the day it
is your choice to listen to them or keep on doing what you believe is your road to success

Henry Ford said it well "if you think you can or you can't you are right"



Panic to Confusion

I remember when I was totally broke I don't know where to find the money for our food for the week and my
allowance for the week, because my salary will be given to me next week, My debt is eating my salary, my
money it is not enough for us to survive the week

I don't know what to do, I felt the clouds all over my head and I don't see the way to get out, my head is in
pain of worry!

but you know what I did? I knelt down and pray, I ask for guidance on what should I do?

After a few min, my mind was relax, I can think clearly

Then I saw my Collectible CD's everything around me that I can use to make money! I put everything into action!

While I'm labeling prizes for my CD collection I remember the quote of Warren Buffett

if you buy things you don't need, Soon you will sell things you need"

a few days later my brother-in-law drop by and gave us money because he sold my collectible CD's that I ask him to sell and our company announces additional bonus for employees

my point is... do not assume what will happen tomorrow because you do not know what will happen
tomorrow

because if you panic, you will be frustrated and you will do things today that you will regret in the future



What to Do?

First Calm yourself down Pray,meditate or find a quiet place to think when you are confuse, if I'm in the office I go to the bathroom that is my quiet place

2nd focus on what you can do now instead of worrying too much of what will happen tomorrow because tomorrow is not yet happening

Tomorrow is only Found in the Calendar of Fools -Og Mandino

3rd after taking that few moment, take action of the idea that comes into your head! you might experience what I experience but the important thing is your developing the right mindset for your success

with the right mind you can overcome any failure!
