you know it takes a few days to walk from egypt to israel ..but for some reason in the bible that journey..lasted 40 years .. ..

it begins when you take the first step..but you don'y usually take the first step until you have a destination ..

big thing are the result of many many little things that fit together ..

Israelites journey from egypt to Israel took 40 years because they doubt themselves, the land was given to them by God, but when they saw the giants in the land of canaan they are afraid

In life we want to achieve big things but once we realize the responsibility to reach our success we make a lot of excuses and run away

Any goal you set for yourself can be comprised of millions of smaller steps. Once you've distinguished your goal, distinguish those action steps. Funnily enough, we generally know what we need to do to achieve a specific goal that we set. Funnier still, we often won't bother to take that first step because it's 'too hard' or we 'don't have enough time.'

I like to consider myself one of the lucky ones. Each morning I follow Hal Elrod's miracle morning daily ritual and it has transformed my life.

Following that, I log on to four different forums and post at least one comment. I am a member of a paid business forum at (http://fizzle.co?aid=12758) where I post three a day. This surrounds me with the people that are achieving my dreams already. On Fizzle, I regularly seek help from millionaires and provide it in return.

I then spend a short while planning two new blog posts so that I will never run out of content. I post three times a week and I am planned out for the next year.

Then I will write my to-dos down. If I have any important long-term to-dos, they will be written in with deadlines. Otherwise, I only focus on my to-dos for each day and break them down into a checklist.

Each day I record a video log and post it up on YouTube, documenting my progress.

I finally begin working my way through my to-do list, checking off the tasks as I go.

Every journey requires a number of very small steps. It is important to know what direction you're going in, because if you don't your steps will still take you to a destination. Just think about whether that subsequent destination is where you want to be.

I totally agree with it. There's no small step in reaching your goals.

Every step counts. No matter how big or small. Everybody has to start from scratch.

One small step a day will bring you closer to your destination. Just keep going.

  • Sometimes the first step is very small. I always had the misconception that everything we start with must be with a bang. Often times, these small steps accumulate and you gain momentum.

    Love the quote.

  • I agree that small steps lead to bigger things. But you have to do the work everyday to get there. And finding ways to get to your destination faster and easier is also key. Why wait 40 years if you can get there in faster?

Motivation and ambition are really important especially if you run your business alone. You can get through a 9-5 job with a lack of motivation but when you are your own boss things need to be done. The problem is we are humans, and we are are subject to our brain chemistry and genes. So for many people it is really hard to get motivated when very few things makes them feel good. I overcome this by setting up smaller goals along the way and reward myself when I get the job done(gamification style). Sometimes I go for a bigger goal and right before achieving it feels like this cannot be! Every small piece fall into place and the system works as intended? Aaayyeaahh!
