Best & Easy Mind Control Technique

Time and again it has been said that 'Mind is a good slave but a bad master!' Hence it is important to 'tame' the mind for better clarity and focus.

We hear of so many mind control techniques. There are so many forms of meditation that are available.

Having experimented with many such forms of meditation and mind control methods, I find that the best one is to simply observe your breath!

We have voluntary control over our external body parts, but no voluntary control over what goes on inside our body like beating of the heart, churning of food inside our stomach etc.
However breathing is the only aspect of our living mechanism, which goes on involuntarily as well as we can have a voluntary control on it (to some extent).

Breathing connects our external body with internal system. Hence you can say that breath is the vital life force without which we cannot stay alive.

Breathing also is a good tool for meditation and exercising control over our mind. Say for example if the mind is disturbed, your breathing becomes heavy. When we are peaceful breathing happens in a relaxed way.

Thus breathing can be used as a tool to control the thought process and bring our mind in control. One has to simply practice observing one's breath.

With practice, you can start controlling your mind by monitoring and regulating your breathing.

    Good points, Vikram.

It's no surprise that a lot of the meditation practices available out there use controlled breathing.

It is a gateway to relaxation and later... an altered consciousness

The mind is like your muscles and needs to be exercised every day.

We must work at improving our mindset daily and weed out the head trash and negative self-talk that tends to pop up in our head.

As you said Vikram, meditation and controlled breathing are two powerful methods in helping to build a strong mindset.

Focus daily on building a strong mindset and another way to do this is by being self-aware and noticing your thoughts. Once you are aware of your thoughts you can take measures to improve your thoughts.

    Improve your mindset daily!

Thanks for contributing your thought process to support my post. Yes indeed, by focussing daily on building a strong mindset will go a long way to help you achieve your goals.

Just to add to what you mentioned, you need to be self aware of especially those thoughts that are pulling you down. Then you can train your mind to overcome those debilitating thoughts. That way you can build a strong mindset. It does require lot of practice...as you said perfectly, mind is like a muscle...Hence mental workout is necessary to make it strong!!

Really good points here Vikram. After reading The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle I started practicing focusing on my breathe. Doing this has really helped me with being focused during my working hours daily.

It has also helped me in my marriage as it helps me to stay calm when things seem to be going crazy. Controlling your breathe and learning to meditate can do so much for you and your business. I feel a lot more in control of the things that happen around me. I can also think a lot more clearly when I have big decisions to make.

I try to get at least 10 minutes everyday of meditation and this has been delivering positive results thus far.

Your are absolutely right. Spending few minutes of meditation like observing your breath can go a long way to stabilize our life.
The examples of harmonizing your marital life and making things better for you in your business are perfect examples of the benefits of meditation. This should inspire people to take the habit of mediation seriously.
