I just happen to finish the book "Creativity-The Perfect Crime" by Philippe Petit.
I got inspired to read more about the life and the risky ventures of Philippe Petit after watching the movie "The Walk" based on the life of this High wire artist and his coup to walk on high wire hanging between New York's the then Twin Towers.

I wanted to understand what actually goes on in the creative mind of this man to inspire him for such daredevilry! So I got a hold one of his book with the title mentioned above. And trust me warriors, its a treat to read this highly inspiring book. I wen through this book just like sipping the wine...slowly and peacefully.
Philippe Petit definitely has the art to inspire creativity through his writings.
At the end of the book in the concluding chapter, he has penned down what he calles "Cards of Advice". I thought I must share this part with my fellow warriors here.

Here are the advices of Phillipe Petit to inspire creativity in you and follow your dream:
  • Those who want to achieve something find a way, those who don't find an excuse.
  • Disorder and choas will servce you as long as you direct them. Experience the school of hard knocks
  • We should be interested in what disturbs us: cultivate contradictions.
  • Lets observe how nature inspires us
  • Develop unabashedly your own set of morals, cling to your own logic. inhabit your own universe: teach yourself as you let life teach you
  • Learn and teach, teach and learn. Who dares to teach must never cease to learn.
  • Choose your teachers, choose your students.
  • If you don't know what the rules are, it is easier to break them
  • If you feel that you have no choice, then you are probably heading in the right direction.
  • Cultivate elasticity, expand.
  • Place the creative act-not its attainment-in your heart.
  • When perfection seduces you, give yourself to her embrace
  • Do not live anything to chance; chance is the thief that never gets caught.
  • Sharpen your intellectual paranoia; remember to suspect-question the question
  • Do not run away from the perils of perfection! Polish your work like a stone that passes through many hands.
Indeed words of wisdom from the man, the artist who has done the impossible!!
