So you want to work from home....

There are many posts all over the place from people who want to work from home, however, before anyone considers it - there are some things to think about before joining any opportunity.

Here are a few questions worth asking yourself:

1. What is your "why?" Perhaps you might have already seen or heard about this, but, it should be your main focal point. People just focus on the money making aspect, however, if that's the only focus, then it is less likely one will stay motivated for the long haul. Your "WHY" is your motivation. There could be many reasons, or "why's," such as spending more time with family, travel, being job free or being debt free. If you focus on your "why," it will change your outlook and you will be more determined and motivated to be successful and wont stop until it comes to fruition. Making money is great, but, that should never be your priority - for me its about having the freedom to live my life by my terms and helping others to do the same.

2. What will you offer? When you join any business opportunity, it is imperative that you do your research first prior to just jumping aboard. You must be a part of something that offers people value and/or services they can use. Stop focusing on how much money you can make just to get people to join. You have to show them the value of joining with YOU first, not just your opportunity and teach them the same techniques you have learned and are using, so they too will stay focused and motivated.. Also, its not just about what your opportunity offers, its about what you offer yourself as an individual. Know your business inside and out. Brand yourself and your team. Put your name out there so people know who you are.

3. Who are you joining with? You want to be aligned with someone who will be with you every step of your journey. Many people out there make many promises to you, however, once they get your money - you wont hear from them again. When I first decided to venture online to look for opportunities, this has happened to me many times as I am sure it has to many others. I actually got to the point to where I didn't want to even be bothered with doing anything online. Instead of giving up, I just came back with a different attitude that I was never going to be like that. Not only is it being deceiving, but, very dishonest. Those types of individuals do this industry a huge disservice making everyone who is truly in this to help others look bad. You want to be with true leaders who realize that helping their team helps them. You duplicate from them to help and grow your business so that you can teach others to do the same.

4. Are you willing to learn and put forth the effort? Many people get into this industry and spend money, yet, they just sit there and do nothing with the business they just joined. People also want others to do all the work for them, which is never going to happen. When it doesn't happen for them, they want to call everything a "scam." You cant go to a job and sit there and do nothing and expect to get a paycheck. Eventually, they will terminate you. You must be serious about your decision. If you aren't or wont be, then, there is no reason to join anything. Many are out there to help you, but, they wont do it all for you! You must be a part of a team and be a willing participant with that team. When you come to the realization that by helping others pursue their dreams, you too will benefit greatly in pursuing yours. We invest a lot of time with our team, but, only those who take their business seriously. You must have a passion about what you are doing and the value you offering to others.

5. Can you handle rejection? Some people join opportunities hoping that money will just fall from the sky instantly. It is not going to happen. You are going to experience rejection. You are going to have many say "no." It is up to you to be stable enough and have that willingness to never give up. Everyone experiences rejection, so, don't let yourself feel as though you are the only one who gets rejected. If anything, if you are involved with something you are passionate about - it should build you up even stronger as a person. It should help you grow as a person. It should make you a more determined person. Not giving up is the key to success. Not everyone understands what being an entrepreneur means. People are accustomed to living their lives just working a job. That's not your fault - just keep it moving.

6. Are you willing to take the risk? A lot of opportunities cost money. Are you willing to spend money to invest in yourself for your future? People waste money on things all the time that they don't need - why not invest in yourself, your family, your future? If you have a job, you spend money on that - so why wouldn't you want a better way?

These are just a few things to think about. Not everyone is cut out to be an entrepreneur. Not everyone will get what you do. Its up to you how you handle your outcome. Even if you get involved and your sponsor does not assist you with your opportunity, if you are determined enough, you will figure out what you need to do. it takes time and is longer that way - but, once you experience your growth, not just with your business, but within yourself, it will make it all worth it in the end. People join people, not business opportunities - building relationships with others is the start of building your business and your dreams.

Much success to you in whatever it is you choose to do.
