Do you know any movies similar to "The Secret"?

I've been looking around but can't find many movies similar to the secret. Do you know any?

    Hello Ryan,

I'm not sure of what exactly you're looking for in a 'similar' movie. But I also got curious
about it. I did watch The Secret a while back.

So, I thought about Amazon's script for offering things similar to whatever. lol. So go
there and search for The Secret in the movies section. I saw several that you may
have an interest in. One was, What The Bleep, which I did see. The other is something
about Abraham, The Secret Behind The Secret.

Really not a lot. Hope that helps. See ya...

Have you heard of Earl Nightingale's The Strangest Secret? I actually only heard the audio, but I did a Google search and it looks like there's video as well. You can see it on YouTube here:

Looks like there's a DVD as well:

There are also videos on youtube with Napoleon Hill. Think And Grow Rich is the essentially the same concept as "The Secret". As is, Wally Wattles The Science of Getting Rich.

The only thing that comes to mind besides "What the bleep" and "down the rabbit hole " is this video by Gregg Braden.
A brilliant book I would love to recommend also is "The Holographic Universe" by John Talbot.

I totally agree, "What the bleep went a little deeper". There is a lot more to manifesting than making money or getting a bigger house, this is part of it for sure but it is not the whole picture.
When we change the way we think then we can change our environment and our selves.
It is important to get away from the idea of separateness, we are not separate little islands floating at random, just as I type this I am linked to you.

This film is apparently the missing part of the secret the part that deals with taking action which the secret is not really that heavy into stipulating.

If you get into the Abraham-Hicks way of expressing law of attraction, (It's a Ton more than The Secret because the Secret is but a 'rip off' of them) go to their site. It's abraham-hicks.com

If you want a forum about law of attraction, try either abetalk.com or theabeforum.com

Also, Netflix has some of the Hick's newest dvd's. What Netflix has about the Hick's are not movies. They are compilations of some of their various seminars all put together.

Dennis, there will always be people that bash others ideas and opinions. Please let them be. By responding your just fueling the fire (and in the end the jokes on him anyways.) Obviously he has never taken the time to study the laws and principles success in any shape and everyone knows of the contribution he's made to the forum.

Buddy, how bout you study the principles of Quantum Physics then come back to our fairy tail and look to see how it applies in everyday life. Then maybe you should study what makes the most successful people successful. If you still don't believe then your input is welcome. But until then, no one cares the slightest bit about your opinion lol

This does bring a good thought to mind though(which is why I wrote this post). Don't EVER let others effect the beliefs you have developed.(But weigh those views that have a PROVEN track record.) There's never a one size fits all view on life, but paying attention to how the most successful people lived their lives can always help you become a better person. (In the same light, paying attention to those on the opposite spectrum(those negative Nancies) can always help you become unsuccessful.

In other words, let the people driven by ignorance be and they will die off by themselves

Actually what that comment made me think of was the neverending story. A large amount of attraction is to visualize and believe. What better way to expand the mind's imagination and give you images to focus on or to concepts to help expand your mind than fiction? There are many books and movies that are presented as fiction that have helped me understand the concepts of quantum physics. Avatar is just one example - learning doesn't have to be dry and boring. Make it fun.

Sometimes what some perceive as being negative is actually to redirect the thinking of others

Take what feels right and let the rest pass unnoticed for now

The Celestine Prophecy is a movie that gives a great introduction. I've only read the book but I have no doubt the movie conveys the same message. It clears a few things that the secret left out and gives you direction if your looking for it. There is spiritual influence in this movie but it's only a fraction of the work.

I'm not a fan of The Secret even though it's what first introduced me into the law of attraction. Believe it or not it made me doubt the law.(thank goodness I studied the laws of success lol) This has lead me to only study the people that have a proven track record and ignore absolutely everything else. The drawback is it takes work : 0

Since the Secret is all about the Law of Attraction, you'd do well to check our stuff by Dr Wayne Dyer and Deepak Chopra to name just a few. As many of the members suggested both What the Bleep and also Down the Rabbit hole are excellent films, more depth, more gravitas, more truth and less hollywood.

It just so happens there is a similar movie to The Secret (only better!) coming out in the early Summer. It is like the Secret in that it offers hope to humanity's suffering by revealing a unique way to get help. The backbone of the story is a real life look at author/speaker Andy Feld's life - his challenges and how he overcomes them. The film is supported by other true stories that are amazing!
    thanks for listening,

No but seriously, Frank is giving out his presentation for free. I got it as part of my $1997 purchase of Mass Control and I think everyone should try and watch it. He actually talks a lot about visualizing. There is a visualization exercise he shares which is basically describing your perfect day in minute detail. In reply to the above, I wasn't signed in when I read the above.

What brought me to this thread was looking for a connection between the movie "Just Like Heaven" from 2005 and the abe hicks material.I listen and have actually attended one workshop in Seattle in 2008 of the Hicks.
I was raised Catholic but shied away from it most of my adult life because of the hipocricy I feel it taught. Maybe it was just the way my family interpreted it, or my perceptions.

Anyhow, it is so much more believable that what the hicks teach to me, and after watching this movie mentioned above for the first time tonight, I started thinking, that is just along the lines of what Abe teaches.

Those two people were in the right vibration in the right time and places to get it all right like that. Of course it was fiction, but I would love to see more movies like this that leave you feeling uplifted and happy.

Having been a self help junkie most of my adult life, I get more out of a movie like Just Like Heaven than self help gurus talking endlessly in advice and circles.

I do admit, I really enjoyed "The Shift" by Wayne Dyer too, it was some of his other works that actually helped me once and for all end my negative self talk,

Anyhow, if anyone has a list of entertaining rather than preaching type movies, similar to Just like Heaven, I would love to hear it.

BTW to any oldtimers here at the forum that remember me I haven't been here for quite some time. I am trying to live a life balance on and off the computer, since I never seemed to "get it right" in the making money online thing for any good length of time.

To many reality things like keeping a roof over my kids heads gets in the day to day way.

But to those of you that remember me,

        HI its Laurie!

      W. E. Henley

      Invictus

OUT of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
      For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
      Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbow'd.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

I am going to say because I love this man so much but if you can watch the movie "Gandhi" I would highly recommend it. There are so many messages in this movie that can touch most people's hearts. Overcome adversity, strength and courage, and the will to succeed no matter how long it takes.

There are a bunch of clip's with Will Smith on YouTube that offer great inspirational advice. Will Smith hits on a lot of similarities to the movie "The Secret".

There's lots of personal development videos available. If you are specifically talking about the Law of Attraction type vids, Jack Canfield, author/creator of Chicken Soup for the Soul series has a video on the L.O.A.

I really like Jim Rohn's "How to have your best year ever" dvd. (Everything by Jim Rohn is great!)

    Hey Ryan

I don't know if you know, but The Secret movie we know about is a newer version of the original that was severely edited to cut out a lot of the original content.

    GET READY.....

.......something new is coming I have recently discovered this amazing film and it became my number one straight away... it`s called: "Mr.Nobody". It`s not a documentary apart from little "skits" and you DO have to think watching it to do not get lost at first. I recommend watching it more than once to EVERYBODY..

I always feel it's better to read good inspiring books than to watch someone else say the words. It's good to look deep into yourself also and let thoughts eventuate on their own. This is my view.

    Finally!

I've just watched this movie yesterday and I believe it was the perfect match for what the thread starter has been asking for.

    The movie was entitled:

"You Can Heal Your Life" by Louise Hay

The Compass is definitely a good one to watch, it talks a lot about taking action and moving things to the next level.

This isn't a movie, but it sure is a great inspiration.

Youtube "Great Inspiration By Will Smith" (Sorry, would post link but don't have enough posts)

Warning: This goes against the grain, but I'll chip in for what it's worth.

ANYTHING - and I mean ANYTHING - that deals with the rewards of taking focused action automatically qualifies - to me at least - as another complimentary material to The Secret.

      This even includes video games

I've actually taken on some non-fiction characters from video games to be just as inspirational to me as real-life ones. One that immediately comes to mind is the character of Jim Raynor from Starcraft lore.

Beyond that, there are tons of books that deal with the power of the mind, though you'd have to be VERY open-minded to derive benefits from them, as some of them delve on what one would call "Magick". Even "High Magick"

Though anything by Bruce Lipton is great too!
