13 replies
We are all faced with stress in certain days of our lives. Stress can really bring us down if not taken care of. Having stress Management Techniques will help you to to avoid depression and any chance of regret.

Here is what I do when I get stressed;
1. I Take a journal (or my phone if I don't have my journal at the time.) and I really write what is bothering me.

2. After writing I take a 20 minutes or even 30 minutes walk without listening to music, counting to five or ten for each step I take.

3. When done with my walk I get something good to eat like my favorite food.

4. Then I do what brings me joy it can be watching my favorite movie or listening to my favorite song.

After this I usually feel much better. You can read the full post at (How to Deal With Stress. | Art of Personal Living.) You can also leave a comment about the post.

No they are always in the same state of mind... Is that the reason why they are able to save the world?

    My own personal favorite. Control your state of mind. Always feel like you have enough time, enough money. Whatever you feel you need to do or need to have, always imagine that you have more than enough. Always hustle but relax, success is on its way.

    thank you for sharing these technique. i myself use some of the technique too, but about 2 years ago, i start using something else: MEDITATION
    when i first came into contact with meditation, i really not so believe in it at all, but after i practice it for many months, ( of course, i must admit i did not do it regular) i start to feel that my mind is calmer, and i can feel less stress. and when i did get stress, i will go into 1h of meditation with meditation music. during that time, i reflect on my problem, searching deep for the reason, and answering the problem. after meditation, everything get back to normal, i feel happier, calm, and best of all, i got my solution to the problem that stress me out.

    I will simply walk away from my work at hand and do things that are totally unrelated to my work. For instance, I will play some games or do some reading, or sometimes I will just take a quick nap.

    It works. Every time I get back to my work, I feel refresh and ready to take on the world again.

  • I think when you are stressed, you're thinking about the future events that would happen, so what I do is live in the moment, I become present and aware, doing this have helped me in a lot of ways, helping me relaxed and calm. Also thinking about the positive side always help and asking yourself the right questions.

    I learned stress management at a performance enhancement clinic, which was all about tuning the Amygdala to lower frequency (to avoid explosive anger), but interesting thing, that's exactly what is "tuned up" for soldiers so they will have faster reactions. Then watched Vim Hoff (the Iceman), and noted he does a specific breathing to activate the amygdala - and well - he can climb mountains in his briefs -so... This being a warrrior forum, I wonder what works best -
