Questions or disbelief in the Law of Attraction

I'd producing a podcast to dive into the Law of Attraction in more detail than my short YouTube videos, and am in need of common questions or problems that come from people who don't understand this law well... Do you run into skepticism often online or when talking to people? What are the most common questions people have? Thank you~~

I think one of the main reasons why so many people have become skeptics is because of the movie 'The Secret'. The LOA wasn't explained very well in that movie. Even certain cast members criticised it when they saw the final edit.

I guess some of the common questions people would have would be:

How can I break negative thought patterns?
How often should I use visualization?
How can I remain focused on my goals?

    Hey, thanks for this thread,
The problem when people uses the LOA is to believe at the immediate result: then they forget easily to use the creative process.
Also we have so used to look or to think the things that we don't want for changing these habits needs to work on ourself in the long term.

i would suggest you make the podcast on topic such as
    - how to the law of attraction work. this is quite basic, but there are so many people out there who have no idea about this law
    - the practice way to apply the law of attraction. this is also for beginner and those who start to learn about how this this law work
    - also collection of testimonial from various people who have used this law and achieve different success in different area of life.

this is also what i want to know as well.
and thank you for such a great threat.

I guess one of the most common questions people will ask about Law of Attraction is that if they spend time and effort to truly visualize about what they want to accomplish, how long and how can you make sure it will definitely come true?

Something the movie "The Secret" didn't emphasize enough (if at all) is that while visualization (etc.) is an important part of "attracting" success, a person also has to take action.

Depending on the goal, people think that all they have to do is visualize it and success will fall into their lap. In my experience it doesn't quite work like that.

With all of the LOA/New Thought books that I have read (including "The Science Of Getting Rich") they explain the importance of taking action.

So maybe that's something you could mention in your Podcast.

Agreed. I'd focus on combining creative visualization with other actions, practices, and tools that combine to contribute to one's success.

      Very true....

The "source" for much of the LOA "teaching" is "The Science Of Getting Rich." If one carefully reads or listens to this brilliant text, he will come to understand it is a combination of thought and action that leads to results....

here is the main problem with law of attraction ..how it is framed ..in the secret or in spiritual communities..

it leads to a way to much judgement and guilt ..you judge something in your reality as bad.. and then have to judge yourself as bad or wrong or at fault ..

so you try to fix the bad .. and of course by the law of attraction.. you spiral into a cycle of getting more bad ..

you want to bring something new to the loa.. start asking are the bad thing you are attracting really bad ..

most event you attract.. or all of them are there to teach you something..and if you do not learn it..you will keep attracting the same type of events ..

the journy is more important than the destination ..and even taking a jet plane there .. you may hit traffic getting to the airport ..be delayed going thrugh security ..have your flight delayed ..hit many patches of turbulance on the trip ..a rough landing a delay getting off the plane ..

none of these things will be because you are a bad person or are doing anything bad ..

to many people are trying to use the law of attraction to be spoiled and coddled ..it doesn't work like that ..

you are here on this planet to expand and grow ..the things you attract ..are not because you are a good person or a bad person.. the things you attract lead to expansion ..

Simply Law of Attraction is "Like Attracts Like",so positive mental attitude is a essence of this Secondary Law.There is a missing link in the Law of Attraction is called Destiny Tuning. So Law of Attraction hasn't work for many because of this missing ingredient.

I agree, Mindset is a huge part of achieving success.

Always be dedicated to what you do and believe that it will happen.

Being disciplined in something you are passionate about is the key.

I would be very interested in watching your podcast about the Law of Attraction and learning what your points are on the subject. I do remember watching the movie "The Secret" and even read the book. It was all the hype about ten years ago, wasn't it? If I recall correctly, I seem to remember Oprah even getting on the bandwagon.

Things that I remember from the movie and book were they encouraged people to design and put up a vision board that you put all the things you desired in the future to come true. It was also about your thoughts and the power of positive thinking.

Would these points above be similar topics in your podcast? I agree with an earlier post I do think that the movie did not explain LOA well.

I would be very interested in getting a better understanding of the Law of Attraction and how it can help me be successful.

All of the 'success, mumbo-jumbo, BS' that is thrown around can be summed-up in a very simple, common-sense approach to life.

Try your best to have a healthy, positive mental attitude in the way you approach and view all aspects of your life - whether it be physical, psychological, spiritual, financial or societal.

This will bring you more peace of mind, contentment, clarity of vision and the mindset that fosters success than anything you will ever read in any book, authored by anyone.

Looking outside yourself in an effort to instill the beliefs of others into your existence in an effort to improve yourself is simply ridiculous and can't be done - at any level. You are what you are, not what anyone else can ever teach you to be. You can't be taught love, honesty, compassion, empathy, morals, ethics or any other human trait.

You either have them or you don't. If you haven't developed them by your eighth birthday - you probably never will. You should probably have a long talk with your parents. lol

    Cheers. - Frank

Personally I have learned a great many things from reading Personal Development books that have literally changed my Life. (Including how to turn adversity, failure, and setback into success. Taking 100% responsibility for my Life. And more.)

Just because you haven't learned anything from these books doesn't mean that everyone else hasn't.

        Good for you, Bunky!

Just because you haven't learned anything from these books
        Never said I haven't.
doesn't mean that everyone else hasn't.
        Never said anyone wouldn't

Try reading my post, again. It's written at a fifth-grade reading comprehension level, but in your effort to post nothing more than a snide comment you only exhibited the fact that your comprehension level is below that.

        Have a great day.

        Cheers. - Frank

P.S. You'll never learn, will you. lol Additionally, what success are you claiming to have achieved, exactly? Oops! I hear crickets.

One of the most important points in this area (positive affirmations), is Reversal.

i.e. if you are below a certain point on the goal-decay-scale, you get the opposite of what you want.

This is obvious to anyone who really knows anything about the subject, and has been known for thousands of years in acupuncture etc. (anyone who's even read the EFT manual, knows this).

Without understanding Reversal, which is why positive affirmations can ONLY work if you don't really need them (i.e. if you are relatively good condition on the subject-area, already), then real change isn't going to happen.
