I Found The Secret

When I started off online over 6 years ago if you said this to me I would have laughed at you and said ok. If you say so.

Making money online is all about YOU

YOU understanding how to think properly so your actions are different and then you will get different results.

Studying from successful people is key. To take advice from somebody who is not currently doing it is going to hurt you.

Focus on the winners and stay away from the losers and naysayers.

Set goals and create daily plans to work on those goals.

Eat that frog first thing in the morning...

"Work harder on yourself than you do on your job" - Jim Rohn

Excellent advice. The biggest thing holding people back from success is their mindset and the negative thoughts that they allow others to inject into their minds.

"Work harder on yourself than you do on your job" - Jim Rohn
i like this quote from jim Rohn. many people will not even believe that it is possible to be successful just by working hard on yourself, so they instead work hard on their job, and even worse, some give up to life and just let life take them wherever it want and start blaming other for their failure.
Anyway, As a student of personal development, we all should realize by now that you can only be as successful as the person inside you, no more, no less.
thank you for your sharing, great thread

It's impossible to convince someone who isn't ready for this message that it is true.

"Tell me the secrets," they whine. "You're hiding something from me."

How you think and feel about yourself, the ideas and beliefs that you have about yourself, are called your self-concept.

Your self-concept dictates what you get out of life.

Let me show you why. But this will only serve the confirmation bias of those who know it already; the others will continue to whine that there is some kind of technical secret.

If you believe you are poor, are the son of a worm, a minimum wage employee, alone, not good-looking, and so on, then that is what you will get.

You will seek out experiences to confirm these ideas.

If you believe you are in a friendly universe, surrounded by opportunities, worthy and deserving of working with capable people, then that's what you will get.

You will discover experiences that confirm these ideas.

If you believe you are the janitor, you will never strike up a conversation with the CEO.

If you believe you are "just" a housewife (and that is a hard job) then will you attempt to sell high ticket products or services? No. You won't even try, because it doesn't match your self-concept.

To change your results, you must change yourself--which means changing your beliefs.

    And that is NOT easy.

Children find it easier. Adults have decades of belief in these ideas, so they are rock solid in their minds. Instead, these ideas ought to be seen as the false beliefs they are--changeable, malleable, replaceable.

In my experience, it takes 2-4 weeks of concentrated effort to make a mindset shift and start seeing results.

As I said, it's usually hard work.

And you must absolutely stop communicating with your previous target market. Otherwise, you'll get drawn back into that scene...and those results.

Now compare with the fact that most people invest a whopping three days of effort into a new business idea, and then give up...what chance of making the shift have they given themselves?

The initiative and energy is based around the latest shiny object, and not themselves, so it exhausts quickly and they give up.

You have to commit to the mindset shift, or it won't happen. You've trained your mind to see what you expect, and you need to retrain it to see the other things. Those things are around you right now. They're already here!

You have your blinders on, though. The Reticular Activating System (RAS) in your brain is sorting like crazy...filtering say 2 million bits of information around you down to a couple hundred.

That's all it shows you. That tiny portion of the data.

Meaning the other prospects you want...the better deals, the higher price tag sales, the more exciting people...are all around you right now. They are simply being filtered Out by your RAS because they don't match your self-concept!

Change yourself, and you'll change what you see.

    Sounds dumb?

Imagine you are now the mayor of your town.

Imagine how you speak, how you sound, what you are saying. How you are conducting yourself, how you freakin' WALK.

    Is it not different?

of course it is about you ..we do exist in the Universe

here is why i get about the it ..when it comes to the self work..

i deleted a story i wrote a few times.. the stripped down version is

avoid the mindset of your broken and trying to fix yourself ..

bahh i need to buy new shoes ..i work for myself and do a lot of walking .. and the souls of my sneekers cracked a few days ago..so i have been walking around in work boot that are not comfortable to walk in while untill i get to the store and buy a comfortable pair of walking shoes ..

and i have energy crashes after noon time untill after three pm ..been fighting them for very long time ..but what i do now.. i can work in the morning ..come home relax for several hours then head back out after about 4 m and work until between 10 pm and midnight ..

so its identifying the environment and conditions that lead to you performing the best and putting yourself in those conditions more and more often while getting out of condition that hinder your performance ..

the more work you do to get in conditions that are optimal for you ..the more work you do in those conditions

The person that wrote or said "You are a product of your environment." was either in denial or dyslexic. As Jason points out ( in so many words ) your environment is a product of YOU!

A great Movie to watch is Walt, it is the early years of Walt Disney. During the course of the movie he tries his hand at being who he was to become 3 times. In the first try at a point of absolute bankruptcy, it is another company that files bankruptcy that puts him under - oh the irony! The second instance - he changed his geographical location... but brought with him the same patterns of business, which followed the same patterns as the first time around... he is left with an offer to be nothing more than an employee - and if you watch the movie ( its on netflicks btw) you can clearly see how his environment was a REFLECTION of himself and how he managed the business.

Your environment is a direct reflection of what you are projecting. and in my best Southern Baptist preacher voice I will say that again YOUR environment is a DIRECT reflection of what YOU ARE PROJECTING ( can I get an amen? )

Success is not outside of you, it is within you. If YOU don't believe it, and YOU are not surrounded by people that believe in it.. you need to change yourself, and that unto itself will change the people around you.

ii know i am hard to understand .. and right now i am over tired ..but i believe you where addressing me .. please be adult enough to tell me you think i am either in denial or dyslexic

now i am way over tired and i did take offence..but i probably failed to get my point across to you .OK i completely failed ..in case you want to know my real functional differences from average people..not disabilities .. i am professionally diagnosed with bi polar disorder and high functioning autism ..

      anyway

name one successful person who grew up in crappy or terrible conditions ..who did not realize at some point they had to get themselves out of thet before they became successful ..

you have control over the environment around you ..or the choice to get your ass in the environment that will best lead to your maximum productivity ..

your level of productivity is effected by you current environment ..you as an adult can get in the environment that makes you the most productive

What a great advise it was. Especially this: "Focus on the winners and stay away from the losers and naysayers." Keep yourself away from all the negativities and discouragement that some people are about to say.
