Do you learn from your mistakes?
I'm 20 years old but I've made more than my fair share of mistakes. While I was always aware of responsibilities I had, they didn't really drive the point home for a very long time... I'm also not going to blame the President, the economy, Britney Spears, Martha Stewart, Michael Jackson or anyone else for how I've handled them. The vast majority of my mistakes were my own damn fault.
I'm glad I was young when I screwed up with money, though. The earlier I learn, the easier it is to fix it.
I know what I need to do now, as well as what NOT to do. Sure I could've read Suze Orman all day beforehand, but sometimes you have to learn the hard way. Sure, I wish I'd kept a job during my sophomore/junior years of high school, sure, I wish I hadn't gotten so stressed out senior year that I broke down and spent everything, but it's all shoulda-woulda-coulda.
Do YOU learn from your mistakes? What is one mistake that you've made in your life, but you can look back and say what you've learned or how you've become a better person?
