Planning ahead is arguably the most important aspect of getting something done. Making a solid plan increases the chance of completing your project to a high standard and also on time.

The first and most important step of creating a plan is to know what you want to do. What is the purpose of this project? What do you want to do? What is the goal? What will the result be? If you do not know what you want to achieve - how will you know that you have achieved it?

Just saw the original article in my favorite Time Management category. This is undoubtedly a true art because the situation can change surprisingly quickly. That's why, I do my best to plan ahead to the smallest detail. Yet, at the same time, I leave an open door for improvisations. Because this is something I just can't avoid no matter how carefully I plan things. So, planning + improvisation + adjustments. That's the only way, at least for me.

Assuming, of course that the plan is viable. Posting declarative statements based on one's personal belief does not show good planning. :-)

    Cheers. - Frank
