The Power of 30 Day Challenges

To move closer to your goals and create the life you really want to lead, what habits would you need to start implementing today?

This is a great, question to ask ourselves for many reasons. For one thing, it makes us take stock of where we are now and where we would like to arrive and how that would look.

The key part of the question for me though is 'what habits would need to start implementing now?'

We all know there are many things we should be doing on a regular basis. Exercising, making healthy eating choices, educating ourselves, working on our growth, improving our finances and relationships...the list goes on and on.

These things don't happen by themselves. It could be said it takes dedication, brute force and will to make them a reality, but only up to the point that it becomes a habit.

Hopefully, you don't have to force yourself each morning and battle an internal dialogue about whether you should brush your teeth or not, you just do it. It's a habit and therefore you give it no real thought.

The same can be true of anything.

Exercising on a regular basis used to be a constant mental battle that I'd often not win. That was until I decided to commit to it, every day for 30 days - the time it takes to create a habit.

After 30 days I would still try and talk myself out of it but I was used to doing it now so I just got on with it. Now I don't even think about it because like brushing my teeth it has just become part of my day. it's a habit.

I've used the same method over and over for taking what I know I should be doing but are mentally struggling with and turning it into a habit that requires little thought.

With a new month just about to start, why not follow the action steps below and start your own 30 day challenge.
  1. Read the question at the top of this post
  2. Right out a list of the habits you would need to implement
  3. Pick just ONE habit to work on for now
  4. Commit to doing that thing every day for 30 days
Good luck and be sure to let me know how you get on!

This is an amazing idea, i've heard of this ones before. I been doing myself a 21 day challenge where you are teaching yourself to get used on being a Blogger. It was hilarious. I felt around 6th or 7th day that i want to quit, but i didn't. After 10 days or so it just started to feeling normal for me. I didn't see it like obligation anymore, i saw it as a habit. Human's nature is weird, but luckily with challenges like this, it can easily be tweaked, hehehe. Good luck to all of you who are going to try this challenge. You will be another person after this. Cheers!

  • To create the life I want I need to seriously get into building channels for passive income. Out of all the opportunities I am considering, I think writing kindle e-books can help me reach that goal.

So what habit would I need to start implementing today? I need to finish reading even just one book on fiction writing from a handful of books I already downloaded. I also need to start actually writing.

So for 30-days I plan on finishing one book and actually doing the exercises on each chapter. The next 30 days after that I plan to finish a 20,000 word book. =)

Since most of my clothes are tight right now, my 30 day challenge is just to make sure the portions I eat is smaller. No more double servings of pasta. Instead of 3 slices of pizza, I will just eat one. Just one glass of softdrinks too, not the whole bottle!
