Irrespective of what you do there will always be people who don't want to be in your life.

We are so wired & conditioned to try to people please. This is a guaranteed way to failure.

Failure to what? Failure at ANYTHING. especially what you want to achieve most in life.

With your body you'll fail at going to gym cos people want you to hang out with them.

With business you'll fail cos people will want you to just be normal & have a job.

With family you will fail cos rather then spending time with them people will demand your time instead ignoring priorities commitments & responsibilities.

With your mind you will fail as you'll lack discipline cos the status quo is to stop growing in high sch and for som in uni but schooling & being educated are 2 different things...

So if people don't wanna be in your life let em go! I guarantee you theres better out there for you RIGHT NOW.

But you're wasting so much time on those that don't matter that you have no time or energy for those that DO.

So smile at someone who doesn't want to be in your life even tho you want them to be.

Smile at them & say: later hater! your loss.... then turn your energy to what really matters to you.

I love you all. I'm here for you all. But only if I'm wanted

Nice post. Thanks SamNuku. : )

I agree that sometimes we have people in our lives that aren't helpful. The most important thing, like you mentioned, is to remember to focus your energy on what really counts.

    Cheers,

It's one of the big thing I'm focusing on this year.

I've had this big realization this year that you are literally the reflection of the expectations of your peer group.

I always knew about this but earlier this year it hit me even harder. I understood it on a deep level.

The main problem that I have is I like to help people, I really do. When I see someone that just think in a way that is not productive way, I have the tendency to try to show him a better way. Sometimes it work, sometimes it doesn't. Most of the time people get on the defensive....

It's crazy because when you go from pretty much a failure and and you become more successful, you KNOW THE PATH, you know what to do, so when someone does something that you know doesn't work, you have the tendency to correct them, but these people don't listen most of the time.

I remember on my path to success I probably heard the lessons to success thousands of times but every single time I didn't absorb the knowledge. The saying that says: when the student is ready the teacher appears is so true. But the teacher is always there, the problem is the student is just now aware of it.

Now what I'm trying to work on is to ignore these people (that don't get it) and produce content for those that get it, this way I attract people that I want to relate to and that will elevate me to a higher level, and maybe one day the people that don't get it will....But the bottom line is trying to change how someone thinks is wayyyyyyy too much effort if that person is not ready.

Whose fault is that? We choose where to spend time and energy - who to share our time with.

.But the bottom line is trying to change how someone thinks is wayyyyyyy too much effort if that person is not ready.
The only thinking you can change is your own.

maybe one day the people that don't get it will
Chances are, those people will find someone they do agree with - who says/writes what they want to hear. They are not your audience.

It's timely that I stumbled upon this thread today. There was this guy in school whom I admired. We had issues relating to him tarnishing my reputation. Earlier today, I was checking my IG and found that he liked my posts. So, I had some thoughts flashing back in my head and then I remembered a motivational article I've read from MEDIUM about dwelling so much inside your head, re: thinking about a person you hate, cursing him, killing him in your mind and recalling what he did and then I snapped back to reality and remembered that the article mentioned something like, "we dwell so much in our head, yet overthinking is the most unproductive thing we could ever do. So, yeah, why even bother?

I think that one of the things that occupies and steals so much of our time and energy is minding other people's business. In the country where I live, people easily judge each other- the way a person dresses, speaks, what she posts online. Just talking about even bothering to judge someone negatively and not constructively is a time waster. Why do we do this? Is it because we just want to prove to ourselves that we are always better than the other?

I could relate to this whole "why even bother" thing because I am an emotional person and me and my sister always discuss our type 4 personality based on the enneagram test. So what she always tells me is how her emotions just get in the way! She seems to (and I used to) have feelings for almost everything and everyone. Why does everything have to be a big deal? I think that somehow, our generation is more accepting and people try to be not bother about the small things. But in my opinion, when you have emotion, dedication and compassion for the people around you, it makes you a better reactor, a better person. You should just know when not to care or when not to bother. This is the challenging part. I always tell her, "let's not get too emotional about things". Let's stick to loving the people who can give the love back and the cats and dogs, of course!

Why I even bother is because I don't believe in the words "apathy", "desensitized", "numb".. Geez! We live in a society people, and you can't simply be just these words. Use the to your advantage but I hate when people seem to think that being these things is actually cool.

You have to be careful because the "why even bother" thinking can be isolating. About this line, "With business you'll fail cos people will want you to just be normal & have a job." You may mistake concern by family and friends about the lack of security of starting your own business with rejection of you, when they are just expressing that your decision is just DIFFERENT from what they would make themselves. Be careful about labeling some people in your life as haters when they just disagree with your decision.

Its pretty obvious with all those who commented in the post who actually read it & who didn't.

Those who did got the point - don't try to people please focus your energy on those who MATTER.

Those who didn't it was obviously - you put across a statement of negativity & criticism based on 1 line here & there (therefore taking it out of context) & those who commented just on the headline (so you're really just post boosting).

Thanks to those who read it. And to those who didn't. I'm happy for you. It proved a point. Why bother... those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind.

Much love to each & every one of you. I hope your mind game is strong. Challenges are galore as an entrepreneur. We gotta stick together & support eachother. Not rip eachother down to make ourselves feel better.

I'll teach you. First you take 1 line, then you combine it with another one,
here you go, see the end result:

Not only is the universe stranger than we think it is stranger than we can think
To fear love is to fear life and those who fear life are already three parts dead

        One line does the trick.
