Looking for ideas to create truly passive income online.

Non-passive income is what most people create. You go to a job, you work, you get paid... or, you own a business, you go to your business, people pay you. The latter is very similar to the former in that if you don't work, you don't get paid.

I'm always in search of passive income... money that flows into your accounts when you're not even present. You don't have to show up, you don't have to think about it, it's just there. I have some, but not enough to quit my day job. So, I'm on the search for more.

If you have ideas, success stories, or anything that would help open this conversation, I'm all ears. (The Catch 22 here seems to be that if people are here for self-promotion of services, blogs, etc. then it's no longer passive income because you must spend time promoting and selling.)

Looking forward to some responses here.

Cheers!

Buy multi-familial real-estate and rent it, then hire someone else to manage it. Oh, wait, that also takes effort since you need to actually buy the damn thing.

I guess there's no such thing as passive income.

How much are you even making that you're already thinking like this?

If I'll be honest most people that talk like this are usually people with zero skills or value to offer the world, that are just looking for a way to make money and stay lazy.

Let me remind you that in-order to make money somebody else has to pay that money.

    Read that sentence again.

    OK now read it again.

What in god's name do you think you can do or set up, that would make someone want to keep paying you money without you putting any more effort into it?

    Write a book maybe?

Oh yeah, you also need to get attention for that..

Well. Sorry. Time to go back to the real world buddy!

Everything requires continues grows, once your shit stops growing, somebody else will probably steal your territory or it'll just erode naturally as technology progresses.

Let us know if you find a way though! You'll get rich just from selling the information.

      Hey Wayne,

Seems like my question/post hit a nerve. Sorry if I offended you. Obviously everything takes effort to start up and get going, but there are forms of passive income out there. I'm pretty sure Warren Buffet has some income coming in while he's sleeping. And, getting involved in the rental industry is a great form of passive income. I was merely looking for online opportunities.

      Cheers.

I agree that rental industry could bring you a decent income. It will be kind of passive earnings. You can buy property and then rent it out thought online rental service. I would definitely recommend you to hire a real estate agent when you decide too buy a property. There are a lot questions and misunderstandings that could arise during buying process. However, you could lease a property on your own. There are many rental platforms that can help you with that. I like this one https://cre.tech/directory/listing/rentberry, first of all cause it covers all aspects of rental application process. Besides it's free. Zillow is also a good service for renting out a property. You can even buy a house through this site.

An Interesting post - what constitutes a passive income?
I guess it's income that comes in without you having to continue working for it. Obviously, there are going to be degrees of passivity in most ventures.

I think there are two important points that I'd like to insert into this conversation.

    1. I can't think of any passive income that doesn't require an initial investment of work or money
    2. If you find work that you love, or at least enjoy most of the time, you will enjoy the journey and the level of passivity won' be very important.

    Thanks

    Deb

This OP has raised a long pending question that is unanswered to full satisfaction.

I agree with the logic that there is NothinG which is a totally passive income. The word 'Passive' itself is a killer of ANY business. But ...

Would love to know which are "semi-active" income streams which are reliable and scalable.
