Resources for personal wellness?

I posted last week about how to find a balance between professional and personal development. One of the people who responded to my post pointed out that none of my personal development goals included things like personal relationships, my family, health and fitness, general learning, and general wellness. To be honest, I have been so wrapped up in my personal development in the context of my business that I kind of actually forgot that the really personal stuff has to be worked on too, it does not "just happen".

I think that may have been partly what I was trying to get at the last time I asked about balancing personal and professional development though... By personally developing in a business capacity do you not think that could just help me be a better person, period?

If that is not enough, what are some of my options? I obviously do not want to become so consumed by my work that I cease to have a meaningful personal life but I also do not want to sacrifice my success either.

Should I be trying to find organized activities that are related to my interests for me to get involved in? Should I be working on mental wellness? How do I best work on my personal relationships?

I would appreciate any advice and insight on these matters because these things are important to me as well. I guess I just was not thinking before about how I would have to make them a priority in my personal development.

So, what have you found is the best way for you to ensure your personal wellness and growth (not just in a business context) is a priority? Do you just get out there in your community and try things? Are there any online resources that you use? Please let me know!

(I know I may sound a bit naive, but I am just starting out in the professional world and appreciate any help and advice I can get!)

As you develop you will slowly, but certainly find out that balance, in the way you describe it is very difficult to come by and even more difficult to maintain, especially if you want to achieve something meaningful, be that personal or professional. Basically you have a choice to make on a daily basis, just like Wayne said ... But from my personal point of view, keep in mind a day only has 24 hours and you can only work efficiently for 8 to 12 ... See to it that you put them to good use once you have prioritized things in your life!

    hi man

you asked how to find a balance between professional and personal development.

is there any issues ?? why did you ask that question ? does your work effect your personal life ??

First you should check why something is happening and then you will find solutions

check youtube , there are videos for almost everything on earth and you can hear real people talk and mostly experienced persons..

    Dont be tough on yourself

    Relax

If you love your family then balance will never be an issue , believe me

You can also talk with your own family and friends as they know you much more better then people on the forums and can give you more personal tips
