Electrify Your Business: 3 Things to do to Reignite your Motivation/Belief in Your Goals!

Hi there, Warriors!

I am sure I am not alone when I say how easy it gets to forget about the big picture when it comes to your goals. I am going to be honest: I gave up a couple of times, and I am nowhere near who and where I want to be 10 years from now.

Digging day and night towards your goals can take its toll on your will to follow through it altogether.

The more you get lost in the details, the more overwhelming and tiring everything can feel.
If we were to ask some of the most successful online entrepreneurs on this forum, I am sure most of them would be able to provide some of their simple but effective mental hacks that keep them focused on the big picture: the Ultimate GOAL!

Grinding , sweating and crawling your way to success is impossible without also focusing on what really inspires you.

These 3 simple things below will help you reconnect with your deepest purpose:

1. Make a quick list of your current goals
  • What are you working on right now? Jot down your current objectives.
  • Start with todays tasks and to-dos. What are those things that need to get done TODAY?
  • Keep writing until youve got your 12 month goals (don't bother about how vague the ideas might be)

The precise order of your list doesnt matter. Just get everything written down.

2. Ask yourself: Why are these goals and tasks important for YOU?

Next to each goal, write down a list of all the reasons why this goal is so significant to you. Try to make your list as detailed as possible.

Here are some pointers to get you thinking:
  • What does this task or goal help you build towards? (financial freedom, more time with family, a new car?)
  • What is the ultimate long term intention behind this objective youve set yourself?
  • Is it something that could potentially keep you and your family well cared for in the long term as well? If not, why? What do you need to change to make it so?
  • Why is this task or goal important to you as a person?

Allow your pen to go wild here. This should be a journaling exercise. You want to express all the ways ultimately that your days to-dos and your years plans are significant and important to both who you are as a person and where youre going.

As you go through this short mental exercise, notice how the feelings keep stirring inside of you. This is your sense of purpose and drive awakening. Can you feel it??

Are you done writing? Good. Now:

3. Stick your finished list of tasks and notes on a wall near your workspace.

Make sure it is visible to you at all times. When your thoughts and eyes keep rolling through the desk and wall, your eyes will meet the notes. This is when your drive and sense of purpose will awaken once more.

Look at it and remind yourself why you set out to do these things. When you feel the purpose in your bones, youre ready to dive back into the trenches.

By connecting your step-by-step work with your big picture ultimate purpose, youll stay super driven and focused!

I hope I could help at least some of you re-focus on what matters to YOU!

Good luck to you all!

Cheers

Tobin.
