Aim For 'Good Enough' - Perfection Is For LOSERS!
The reason for that is because there's so much things that happen in this world, there's so much activity that no single product or video or article or website that you make is going to make a difference, if you focus on everything having to be perfect you'll never actually get anything ******* done!
This is because the subject of "good enough" and the level people expect when you say "good enough" is fairly universal. When you create a website, a video or any other creative content, most people pretty much agree on what "good enough" is, that doesn't mean that they have the exact same definition but they have a close enough approximation of what a good enough video looks like, what a good enough article looks like a good enough and what a good enough product looks.
Perfect is a different game though. Perfect is an ideal term which means having absolutely nothing wrong with what you've created. The problem starts here because there's no such thing as perfect, so perfect is inherently infinite!
You might spend five hours making a website, focusing on making it just good enough and it looks great and works great, or you might choose to spend three months working on website making sure it's perfect, when in reality there's no such thing since you can't even judge perfect because even with it looks perfect to you it might not look perfect to somebody.
Going for "perfect" doesn't even mean that it's actually is going to work and actually view, conversions or whatever it is you're looking for. You're essentially spending an unbelievable amount of time on something with no guarantees of and improvement, when you could have used this time to make 5 or 10 videos or articles or products!
The more things you can just accept as "good enough" and move on, the more you could get done. Never compromise on the level of quality you're looking for, don't make a crappy video just for the sake of making a video every day. Don't go to the gym, do 3 sets and leave just for the sake of daily workouts. You should have a minimal level of quality as a benchmark but never fall into the trap of wasting incredible amounts of time focusing on nuances and trying to perfect something where quality is less important than quality!
Remember, in a world of noise where massive action is required, overtly focusing on quality is just a way to procrastinate and lose. Even the great Steve Jobs who was known as a hardcore idealist and perfectionist for Apple's products would ship his products with flaws, knowing that perfection would take too long.
Even the great Steve Jobs launched the first iPhone without many features like MMS, apps, and copy and paste that were not supported at release. It's better to start and fix it then to focus on perfection and never get it done.
Find your "good enough" level and stick to it, it'll allow you to get so much more done.
