If you don't make it in IM by the age of 30, then what?

Is there are an age limit for becoming successful in IM? No?! Well, I'm not convinced to tell you the truth because I keep hearing that if you don't make it in IM by the age of 30, you are very likely not to make it at all. I'm tired and I simply refuse to be involved in the meaningless game of statistics. Let me see what percentage of people who made it in IM was younger or older than 30.

Yet, it seems like I don't have much of a choice here. I keep hearing and reading the same story over and over again.

Where's your app?
How come your website isn't mega popular?
You didn't invent the next big thing in IM, did you?
Where's your social network?
You haven't written a single eBook yet, have you?

Sorry old boy, but your time to do something has passed. More luck in the next life. So, who is to blame for my depressive thoughts? I think that the guy behind Alibaba empire said something like that. He literally put an expiration date on my IM dreams. Am I overdue as a 45-year-old? What's left to hope for at this age? I'm not going to reinvent the wheel, that's for sure.

I thought when it comes to success, you can never be too late. Better ever than never. Yet, it is quite possible that those were my thoughts of comfort when I was much younger. Now, I just don't think nor feel that way. I had my chances. I missed them. That's it. There's an age limit in IM for achieving some important things. Right or wrong?

      I sure hope so. The worst thing to do is to simply give up. Then, I asked myself, if you haven't done it by now, maybe you're playing a game in the wrong terrain, lol. Cheers!

    There was a post on warrior forum lately on the similar theme.

    Well, I think being 30 plus is not worrisome. The more important thing is what you have been doing all those 30 years? Were you following your passion? If yes, promote the same thing by learning internet marketing.

    However, if your passion was IM from the very first day, and you were pursuing something else instead - still you are not too late. If you have enthusiasm, you will learn everything quickly. Just hit on the right resources. Stop reading blog posts and read old-time must-read books first. Reading the correct material is the fastest way to be a better IMer, even if you are 50 or something.

    I don't think IM has an idea age bracket, if anything it is one of the most flexible options for earning an income so long as you understand what you are doing.

    Have a look around, it sounds like you are having a bit of a bad day. Look the things you are good at and focus on your goals.

    There is no age limit, you do need motivation and drive though, but you can have that at any age.

    Why 30? Most men haven't even 'grown up' and/or had kids by 30 yet alone 'made it' monetarily.

    Plus why has the connotation always got to be money based.

    I 'made it' when my second son was born fit and healthy 5 years ago. Monetarily I made it after 30 and before 40.

      If you want an honest answer: I really don't know why this number!! It's like someone is pushing this age limit all the time. When I was 30 it was make it by 20, when I'm 40 it's like you should have done it by 30. It's driving my crazy, lol. What's next at 50 be successful at 40, lol.

    Put your money where your mouth is.
    I don't want this to sound promotional but I can help you escape the rat race if you are interested. Yes, in 30 days you will smile home and rewrite history (that 45 year old can be capable).

    IM success and making money overall knows no age barrier. What matter the most is your wit.

    You probably have been doing things wrongly and awfully.

    I read his biography (Git Off the Porch) and it's quite fascinating. He now runs a 7 figure business.

    As long as you take the time to develop the skills you need and are persistent, there is no reason why you can't see success.

      At first, there was some famous baseball player with the same name, so I had to Google a little deeper based on the book's title, lol. I can't believe this guy built his business empire on cookbooks. It's both crazy and great, lol.

      Honestly, I couldn't find the info, how old he was when his book became the bestseller. Yet, I have no reason to doubt your words, so I guess he was much older than 30 or 40, lol. Truly, an inspirational stuff.

      So, even if you don't get all the things on a silver plate,
      you can never be too late,
      to do the right thing.

      Guess, I got inspired already, lol.

    I agree with the statements below. I don't think there's an age factor here. IM is a business. There've been people that became successful in their businesses l after they retired. I don't think it's about the age, but about sticking to a great idea and just not giving up...
