Tips on the choice of niche and starting up

Greetings everyone,

I am very interested in starting for the second time (my first try was a failure) marketing online and investing into a website money to earn some profit.

As I am well aware, I should try to do something related to high demand and also what I am interested in. However my interests, which I could share knowledge and passionately write about, seem completely unprofitable, such as History or Sports, so I would like to hear some tips on where I should begin.

I have spare money for a start-up, however I am not willing to waste any on some fishy courses or programmes.

Thank you in advance.

Sports...unprofitable...? I'd almost be tempted to say it could only be unprofitable in incredibly saturated 'broad' markets, but niche sporting blogs, courses, ebooks etc. do really well. For example, how to shoot the best basketball hoop or how to perfect your golf backswing. Even E-sports..

And as for history, there's a podcast called 'Stuff You Missed in History Class' by HowStuffWorks and its very popular, with 586,955 likes on Facebook alone.

I think you should research into your areas of interest more before writing them off
