Every ____ Is An Opportunity

"Every Fear Is An Opportunity
To Be Courageous ..."

I never used to understand the word
"courage." I used to think that it means
you're not afraid of anything/fearless like a
Superhero or something.

However over the years I now understand
Mark Twain when he said:

"Courage is resistance to fear.
Mastery of fear. Not absence of
fear."

The more afraid you are of something, the
more courage it takes to face/overcome
that fear. And, you gain strength, courage,
and confidence every time you really stop to
look fear in the face. As Susan Jeffers said:

"Feel the fear and do it anyway!"

Because your fear(s) can only stop you from
accomplishing what's important if you let them.
In other words you're 100% in control of
how you respond to fear.

Instead of seeing it as a "barrier" to success
(etc.) remember that it's actually an opportunity.
#opportunity

often random videos are incredibly and indelibly more interesting than many of the so called posts

i find we are generally taught to fear the wrong things ..or the beliefs behind the fears are invalid .

most people and for tens of thousands of years day to day life was concerned with survival ..not just of you but of those around you . and for good reason.. it was real easy to die .

now the most likely thing to kill you is what you eat and care from a doctor..if you are in the first world .

and people biggest fears really..running out of money in retirement , before they die ..so maybe on a sub conscious level they commit a slow form of suicide by eating the wat they do and suffering for years before they die in order to get permission from everyone around them to leave their boring lives before they face having to eat cat food .

think about most of the first world americans you know who have amazing lifestyles compared to the other 97% of the human population on this planet ..well not really they have lots more stuff but never get around to enjoying having it ...who for the most part give up freedoms in a second if they think it will make them more safe .

the world is as safe as it has ever been .. and most of the world is getting safer and has good cellphone signal and even wifi .

do your fears match the current state of the planet or are they tied into and driven by the crisis based media ..and outdated social beliefs..

if they are really your fears you chose them ..if they are a fear someone gave to you they are a lie .

if we where in the woods and suddenly started getting chased by a bear .. if you bend down to tie your shoes think all you need to do it outrun me .. 'I am kicking you in the head to knock your ass out .

So much of the motivational bull s..bad science ..does not really work in real life .

Some fears are "instinctual." Like Public Speaking for instance. That fear goes back to when we used to live in small tribes and being rejected by the tribe could mean death. Of course it doesn't mean that today however the fear is still there.

And (the point of my post) is that ... The only way to overcome it is to face it. (And that takes courage.)

yeah i get a bit more cranial absorion of content through you tubes and podcast i can play while i am sleeping ..

there are real solid reasons to have many of the fears we do that don't make for sexy sound bites in a speech ..with the way the world is changing we need to address the fear and why is there verse suppress and or try to ignore it .

a great example would be if the common excuse for fear of public speaking where true ....

if your idea of New york city was stuck in the view it had in the 70's the 80's and early 90's .. you might be scared out of your wits to go to New york

the world is changing so fast ..most of your beliefs and your fear are based off outdated information and conditions.. and you are most likly fearing the wrong thing..and seeding the garden of your own demise by hiding because of fears that are invalid .

            Added,
i remove the other one because i felt it to aggressive.. im clawing my way out of a depression i have been in almost two weeks but didn't realize was there untill 2 days ago ..but oddly enough i have redone my goals in the last week and founf focus on where i want to live next ..which meant pushing other goal off the table ..

see i have no fear of living outside the country and in developing countries ..i just need t put and online income together of 2-3 grand a month and move.. and maybe learn some Spanish now or when i get where i am going ..

my fears are not the same as most people ..but i know why i have the fears i do..

True. You can actually lean something from everything that happens to you. However that's a post for another time.

Mmm let me see, I love this kind of thread.
Fear --- Basic human instinct - yet no - basic animal instinct for survival.
Did you know the only fear we are born with is falling!!!! We don't fair very well when we fall we tend to smash. When we fall vertically our stomachs jump and - Oh dear most leave body fluids behind.

The rest is indoctrination from parents/teachers/peer groups. Then we leave school and start to grow up.
Then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We all start to leave our dreams behind - meet a partner - children - mortgage ----- Oh shit where did my life go === MID LIFE CRISIS - What have I achieved -- Fear Fear!!!

Very difficult to remember when you were a child and sod keeping your crayons within the lines, where was the fear then!!!

Good point. Thanks Gary. Many of our fears are "conditioned."

I will fill in the blank and say that Every non replied to thread I write on WF is an opportunity.

Recently I posted a thread here about a new money making opportunity and it got no responses. Nobody here is interested in what I am doing. The thing is that over the weekend I made my first money from this new opportunity. I have a new revenue stream!

Well this is not the first time it's happened. Guys, you need to think outside the box more.

      Thanks bretb.

The most important thing (even though people being interested is "nice") is that're you're taking action, making money from your opportunity, and generous enough to share what's working for you with other People. That = Awesome (IMO)
