[Could we keep this topic really focused, it would be super cool]

If you know what I mean when I say "getting into state" then it would be great to have some feedback about how YOU do it.

Currently I do five things that I'm aware of:

- In the morning (and through out the day) I move more, with more purpose and more quickly

- Whilst I do this I breath more deeply, slowly, quietly, consistently

- Ensure that I'm not thinking any negative thoughts

- I have pictures of the house I'm going to live in and the girlfriend I'm going to get - which I look at and imagine being there.

- I try to stay relaxed (Psyching my self up creates a fight or flight state and unskillful emotions) - deliberately relaxing my muscles and breathing correctly

Doing these things put in an awesome, proactive, productive, outgoing, positive state of mind.

What do you do?

I "face myself" look into my true self and understand why I feel scared/lazy/angry etc this reveals a lot of things that keep me away from my objective, once I do that I grow the resolution pretty much the same way you do, creating "anchor" memories that produce the feeling I'm after

I look at my stack of bills, puts me into state Every Time! (joke)

After I realized that no matter how much I worried or stressed over things that it never seemed to get anything done and removed this negativity from my life, that it allowed for nearly an additional 24 hours of time to be in state and to be productive.
Perhaps the correct term would be "living in the now" for what I am experiencing at this stage in my life.

A "This is the moment, you never get it back, what ya gonna do with it?" type thing.
I know that I have found that enjoying the moment productively is much better than choosing to be miserable and functionless for that moment.

Visualization is fantastic and indeed gives direction and we would all still be living in caves eating raw meat without it.
I think perhaps sometimes people visualize the things they think that they "should" visualize instead of what they "want" to visualize though. I know several people like this.
If you start going for "what is expected from you" then despair and despite is certain to set in.

In the end, no matter how close of relationships you have nor how many people "got your back", it is All about you. Even if you choose to sacrifice yourself for another it is still your moment to do as you will with.

Perhaps I am just getting older and wiser or just older and more senile, but I seem to "live" in State and have it a part of me. It's not something I prepare or strive for.

    Hard to explain....

I also have a morning "ritual" I do that helps me. The most important thing is that when I get to my computer and check my emails I then take literally 1 minute to close my eyes and motivate myself. Sometimes it involves thinking about the future and sometimes about business strategy etc.

Whatever the case may be, it gets me in the zone so when I open my eyes I am all business.

@LifestyleTrans Is that Tony Robbins? Funnily enough it was his video with Frank Kern and John Rees that got me thinking about "state", I played around with it and liked it... a lot.

@ayolov I've found finding an answer when "facing myself" can certainly shift my state...

@HomeComputerGames I known exactly what you're saying. It's great you bought it up. I would say we can be present in the moment and also have different states to achevive spesific goal... Can we acheive these states without being "in the now" is another quesiton? I've put a link in my signiture (I can't post links yet) for a SHORT video about "being in the now".

@Kenster Do you do this multiple times during the day or once in the morning?

I love what you said, HomeComputerGames, about living in state. I completely agree. As I get older I've started to place more emphasis on trying to live in state all the time. That way it's not about sitting for 5 minutes and visualizing, it's about living those visions even now, which is 1000x more effective.

Stop many times throughout the day and ask yourself, "what am I feeling right now?" and that will clue you into whether you're in state or whether you're off track, if you're off track then you know you can fix it by placing your thoughts on something more productive, or by taking a more productive action.
