YES You CAN! Believe in the Beauty of Your Dreams!

I tend to live by this statement by Eleanor Roosevelt : "The Future Belongs to Those who Believe in the Beauty of their Dreams". The problem is, being humans, our beliefs of what we can be achieving, somewhat get kicked by self doubt.

Why would that be? Why can't we just have a dream, set ourselves in the right direction, and simply obtain it?

The fact is, we are constantly surrounded by challenges along the way of what it is we are pursuing. That is a simple fact of life, and it serves a purpose. These challenges will either make us persevere or simply give up. We always have that freedom of choice. It isn't the type of challenges we are facing in life that matters, but rather, what we will do with them which will define who we are as human beings.

I see myself, and people around me define me as an inspired, positive, go getter type of guy, who just keeps going, changing my approach, despite the hurdles and challenges of Life. However, at times, my humanity gets in the way as you might probably be able to relate to, in the form of 'self doubt'. All the reasons to give up are popping up, and my negative creative side kicks in with all types of justifications not to persevere...Being like that is perfectly normal and a friendly reminder that we are humans with choices, with opportunities to shine by following through or not; to grow stronger, or to remain in our little comfort zone and eventually get weaker...Always! Anything in life either grows or dies, that is also a fact of life; which would you rather be?!

The main outcome here is NOT to stay in that state of despair. Luckily, over the years, I have developed ways to slap myself out of it as well as avoid negative environments that won't be sustainable to me. Also, I now surround my self with positive, inspiring people, practice daily activities that set a positive ground to sustain my dreams, goals and Purpose in Life.

To illustrate my point here, I am posting a very inspiring video from fellow Australian Nick Vjicic who truly defines perseverance and Faith in life...Nick is an amazing big man who will touch your heart has he has with mine.

May it give you some distinctions to apply next time things don't go exactly as planned, and you consider giving up for whatever reason. You know deep inside, that following through will not only make you a better, stronger person, but most importantly will bring you true fulfillment, joy and happiness in your life, because you would have livingly found your dreams!

Yes we must believe in our dreams. If we do not, who will? However, believing in our dreams is not enough. We must take continous action to see our dreams become reality.
I have dreams, and I know that they will become reality. Why? Because I have faith that they will become reality. Because I have faith in these dreams of mine, I am continously taking action to insure that they happen.
I will tell you a story from my youth that will illustrate that this works. I was up north at our cottage with my father when I was thirteen years old. There was a fair going on in this small town at the time. In the fair they were selling raffle tickets for a 22 foot aluminum canoe. I dragged my dad over to the booth and told him that I would soon be the proud owner of that canoe. I took four dollars out of my pocket and bought two tickets. The man put them into a big drum.
The drawing was to be held in two days. My dad asked me how I knew the canoe would be mine. My reply was that I wanted it and that I believed it had been made especially for me.
The entire next day, which was a Saturday, I told my dad about all the adventures I was going to have "In my canoe".
The next day, which was the day of the drawing, my father told me that we had to return to our home which was a 3 1/2 hour drive away. I told him that I thought that was a bad decision, as we would have to drive back the following week to get my canoe. He just laughed at me and patted me on the back.
We returned home that day much to my vehement protests.
The following afternoon our phone rang and my father answered it. When he was done talking on the phone he told me that we had to return to the town our cottage was in because they had called and said that we only had two days to pick up the canoe that I had "won" in the raffle.
That is how faith works! I believed it, and the "action" that I took was to tell my dad about all the adventures I would have in it.

    Here's to your continuing success

Dreams are pretty powerful in motivating a person and being successful. We should always strive for something and work hard to achieve it.
