Software To Keep You On Track??

Can anyone recommend software or perhaps a free download that can help me stay focused? It never ceases to amaze hoe creative I can get at wasting time and not staying focused daily.

Someone told me awhile back there was acool plugin or software download that kind of works like a clock where you set alarms. So for example, if your first task is going to take you 1-1/2 hours, you set the alarm accordingly.

Anyone know any tools that might help?

I'm really bad at staying focused, but I've found recently that the follow really helps:

    1. Install adobe air and 'Remember the task' and GMDesk on it - this means that you can browse google docs without a brower
    2. Use google docs to put together a couple of todo lists - one on a daily basis, the other on a longer term basis to make sure you're going in the right direction
    3. Set up an account with remember the task and put in the daily tasks you want to do. Really work out everything that you want to do longer term and then split up the big tasks into smaller bits.
    4. At the start of the day work out what you want to do & how long it's going to take. For big tasks just put in a hour or twos work. Then put in *when* you're going to do it.
    5. Put that into your calender
    6. For tasks under 2 mins just do them when you want. Otherwise put them into 'remember the task'. That way you're not going to forget them.
    7. Find a way to kill your auto-kill your internet browsers every 15 mins. This is what keeps me on track. When you are writing articles - do you need to have your browser open?
    8. Make sure you are working to the calender
    9. Get a good outsourced person to help. Send them the tasks they need to do from remember the task.

I really need to put together a full ebook on this...

    Hope that helps,

    James

I use google calendar in keeping track of the things that I have to do. I was kind of dependent on it in making sure I haven't missed anything important.
