Hello,

I have been watching youtubes from a professor Jordan Peterson

this is one of the videos just search YouTube and a lot of what he says about self improvement is gold..now he is embroiled in controversy at this point..

Real interesting stuff especially when he gets into IQ playing a role in lifelong success.

lots of good stuff about self improvement and career success so far..

the reason why most people will not succeed are two fold from what i have heard so far.. most people do not define what success will be nor do they enter field where the can be among the top performers .or a dominant player .

As a very creative person..his explanation of why many creative people don't do well ..is spot on ..ouch

Not bad, but yeah, had to skip some of it.

I must have missed the artist one, and being an artist myself, yeah, can relate to wasting tons of time, trying to put a Self Help book's mission statement into the real world.

Most self help books, rabbit on about do what you love and it will all end up well.

Which is BS, by the way, l am not doing what l love at present, l am doing something that is in the ballpark, and makes money, and creates wealth!

    Big difference.

A bit like Billy Joel, did popular rock, instead of what he was crazy about, which is classical music.

    He is doing that now.

I knew an artist in my business class, l did a few months ago, she almost won a contest, ($5000) but missed out because of politics in the process.

By all rights she should have won.

I also saw her at the Melb, international Flower SHow, well walked past her, not looking too happy.

I have seen other talented artists trying to sell there, and most people are just not buying as they used to anymore, because of the 2008 crash that lingers on, and idiots messing with our current setup, or suppressing business.

I am very glad that l went online in late 2008, when the storm clouds were lingering, but really feel for individuals trying to make it now in the artistic fleld.

But l agree with the mess part, my neighbours don't have a back yard, they have 1.5 metre tall grass, and blackberry bushes.

They also don't have any roof gutters, just soil and more grass.

I know others have said that, that doesn't affect their mental disposition, but l beg to differ.

    Tag ,

We are in a new economy..or in a time where a new economy is growing to replace the old economy ..the people who buy art no longer have to wait for shows or he tradtional ways to buy art..they go online to edtsy or other sites to craft items .

If artists don't want to create online communities or use online platforms to sell their work.. anyone has access to digital marketing resources to market, sell and distribute the things they make..if you fail to use them and learn to use them well. nearly any business you start in the modern world will be hindered or guranteed to fail .

the last ten thousand years society as we know it has been based on a pyramid structure ..if you look at corperations today .. same thing .. governments .. same thing ..

The new economy is far different and requires people to build their own communities or economies ..as where the top needed so many people below.. they can soon replace many of those people with robots and artificial intelligence .but as with personal computers . the price of robotics and thes size will put automated production lines in the hands of the common people or the real producers ..

so average people can now build committees to market products to and distribute those products without the need to co through a big company ..soon the will be able to use personal automation to produce in volume .

now going back to the topic of the thread ..more and more the research ..the proven research .is available to people who can use real science to guide changes in their lives ..

The problem come when those who feel they have power playing the helpless victim ..band together and try to shut down real science ..that does not agree with them..

Because Professor Peterson.. teach the scientific facts about gender differences between men and woman.. there are many who want to shut him up

      RABIDROBO2000

Do your kittens get tied up in string regularly, getting tired of all of the mewing, clawing and band aid's, then fret no more.

The RABIDROBO2000, will hold your pesky kitten, untie the string and create a ball, all from the comfort of our own home.

And it comes with a 100% money back guarantee, so in the unlikely event that the machine goes rabid, and makes things airborne, then you can sue,...ahem, send it back.

      Nuclear reactor sold separately!

      I wouldn't buy that for a dollar.

Well, it is via drone mail. so you are paying for about 6 of them to drop it at your doorstep. Unless they run out of battery life, or one malfunctions, then it is second class drone mail.

No, the first repair job is free, and the kitten will be cheerfully refunded, but you will have to supply the paint.
