"Intelligence is Living what one learns" If one does not put into full action what one learns, is one intelligent? Interestingly, it is only sub-conscious blockages (that can now be easily removed permanently) that stop one from making intelligent decisions and having spiritual freedom. |

A Spiritual Master was once asked by a budding student:- "Are You God?" The Spiritual Master replied:- "Yes, I am .. and so are You. The only difference is that I KNOW it, and You don't, yet" Spiritual Freedom is the gateway to God, Love, Peace, Joy, Bliss and Enlightenment. |

Here's another inspiration quote I post on my wall facing me saying, "buy domain name, build website, add content, add affliate links, SEO website, and repeat". Something to keep me from falling off the wagon. I gotta tell ya it does wonders for me! |

It isn't my favorite quote, but one that has been keeping me moving lately is from Woody Allen of all people . . . "Eighty percent of success is showing up." I don't know if someone already said that. If so, sorry. This is a quote I'd heard before, but when another writer brought it to my attention and told me it applied across the board and even to the writing world, it lodged in my mind. Now I hear it in my head at least a few times a day. |

“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race." - Calvin Coolidge

Never let the fear of failure be an excuse for not trying. Society tells us that to fail is the most terrible thing in the world, but I know it isn't. Failure is part of what makes us human.

Call me crazy, but I actually have a document in my phone titled 'sayings' and I write down all the sayings that resonate with me. Here are some... “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” Aristotle “You can’t join the dots looking forward; you can only join them looking back” Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple “To become a spectator of one's own life is to escape the suffering of life.” Oscar Wilde “Without the downs, you can’t truly appreciate the ups” Anonymous “There's no such thing as security, only varying degrees of risk” - I think this was Robert Kiyosaki “You can’t change the past, but you can change peoples’ perception of the past by changing the future” - One of mine |

| Glengarry Glen Ross "A-I-D-A. Attention, Interest, Decision, Action. Attention - Do I have you attention? Interest - Are you interested? I know you are, because it's f*ck or walk. You close or you hit the bricks. Decision - Have you made your decision for Christ? And Action." This is one of the greatest sales movies of all times. When I was in recruiting I played this at least once a quarter for my soldiers. |

If only the starving kids of the world that lack even access to safe drinking or bathing water, let alone adequate nutrition, would pull themselves up by their bootstraps (or rather, their bare legs, since a boot represents unattainable wealth), then their problems would be solved. It's hard to imagine anyone with a more privileged background from which to lecture those born into misery than Trump. Maybe the millions who've been murdered by our (US) allies in the Congo could have been saved by reading "The Art Of The Deal". That's right-Hitler's no longer the biggest modern mass murderer-latest estimate I'm aware of puts the number around 8-10 million killed-though most Americans don't even know there's a war, let alone the staggering losses, nor which side we support. Most of the poverty in the world is geo-specific, and has little to do with laziness, lack of ambition, failure of the entrepreneurial spirit, people not having big enough goals, or whatever personal failings the arrogant and privileged Trump imagines is at the root of poverty. I'm all for entrepreneurialism, but I'm sick of the rich lecturing the poor. Trump probably wouldn't survive a week in most of the troubled places where just surviving each day takes more energy and pain endurance than most of us privileged opportunity seeker will spend in a month of working on our businesses. On the whole, poverty has a lot more to do with the wealthy countries milking the poor ones as sources of cheap resources, which has made it relatively easy to build a fortune, especially for the white sons of the affluent. When you're surrounded by wealth, and look like "one of us" to the most economically dominant demographic (rich white men), grabbing a piece of it isn't all that hard. When you're surrounded by poverty, hunger, disease, war, etc, just surviving day to day takes more courage and work than most privileged people, including Trump, will ever need to exhibit. When it comes to deal-making, I take Trump seriously-he's obviously a major talent. When it comes to social issues, almost anyone who has ever had to struggle to survive would have more credibility. Aside from his obvious lack of credentials to speak with any insight for the poor, what is really annoying about him making that statement is that it's so self-serving. The big winners of any game would naturally rather attribute their win to their own wonderful skills, talents, brains, guts, perseverance, etc, than any advantages they lucked into, though the advantages are huge. It makes them look great to attribute their fortunes to skill, and the poor look lousy by attributing their lack to personal failings. The truth is a far less flattering story for the winners, and a far less damning one towards the losers. But of course, history is written by the victors, so the Trumps of the world can take all kinds of credit for their wins than they ever earned, and rarely be challenged in any meaningful way. |
