Principles -Ray Dalio

Any Warriors read Principles by Ray Dalio?

I find what he has accomplished fascinating. Not only in a sense of traditional success, but also on a self-awareness level, and how that incorporates into Bridgewaters' success and ultimately day to day operations.

there is no longer a separation between online and offline worlds ..

and back to the book.. and mr dalio.. one of the things i keep hearing from very successful people.. is like when he talk about almost going out of business in 82/83 he refers to that period as the best thing that could have happened ..and i have heard it over and over .

So I look at what i am going through now and instead of getting miserable and depressed .Use this time to learn important thing that i will build my success on .

I have not, but goodness what he is being is working, because he is popping up all over the place recently; Tony Robbins, Tim Ferriss, and Gary Vee all featured him over the past month or so. Good for him. This guy's energy is in the right place.

This seems like the current winning book launch stratagy for an author.. do every podcast or youtube interview you can with those who serve your audience .. and possibly get exposed to people who would not have known who you where

It seem to that Tony Robbins last two book where a catalyst for Ray to Launch this book now.. and maybe even tim ferris ..because there may not have been a mass audience fore this a few years ago ..now with Tony the biggest name in Motivation pointing people at finance and investing ..

Ya his marketing has been great. I believe that he used Vayner Media for it. Hence why he has the Tony Robinns and Tim Ferris inclusion in the campaign. Well done by Gary and Ray if that's the case.

The book deserves all of the plaudits IMO. It's fantastic.

I will say one thing. Been following Gary Vee for ... almost 10 years. I love the guys content. He needs to shut up when Ray is talking though. If you watch the episode of The Daily Vee where he interviews Ray you will know what I mean.

If you haven't got this book I would highly recommend it. Keep in mind that I have a lot of commonalities with Ray so a lot of it really hit home for me. That doesn't mean you will have the same viewpoint.

No doubt. However, Gary isn't on Rays level. Grant Cardone and Tai Lopez certainly aren't on that level. So Gary plays his persona, which is totally cool with me. I've been following him for a long time because I enjoy his stuff! There comes a time in every mans life though.. persona or not.. when you need to shut the **** up! Haha

the part about Gary's story or stick.. what ever you want to call it.. is one thing he has had the genetic sence he was a kid.. but 20 or 30 years ago when he was making 2,000-4000 a weekend at 12 years old he was called a looser because he was getting D's and f's in school.

so much of the junk theat was selected for in the mass education system and still is being selected for ..was geared and is gear for the 40 + hour a week job ..and the skill actually needed to survive today and in the future are crush out of people .. or where unless they actually failed in the system and had no choice to nurture them at a young age .

but gary also had a few years selling baseball cards then almost ten years working in and learning to use internet marketing to grow his fathers business.. before starting his own agency ..and the motivational business is side hustle/ marketing for his main business .

people will go through 13 years of k through 12 and do what they need to do to get the best grades .. then pile on 30,000 to 300,000 thousand in student debt that can't be removed in bankruptcy 0ver another 4-8 years .. to get a 40,000 a year job that may not need a degree .. and spend the rest of their live working to pay off the debt

but putting in the time to study marketing and putting up a little cash to start a small or micro business to make a few hundred or few thousand extra a month to learn the rope.s over a 4-10 years .. no man they read a couple books set a few goal .. and they think they can have a million dollar a year business if they have the right plan or system ..

          hehe
