If you're about to quit IM...

Don't.

I know, it sounds washed and you heard it 100's of times before, but...

The one thing that made me stay and continue with IM was....

I've read books written by Allen himself.

Do yourself a favor and get/buy/rent/whatever his books on IM and especially... read his interview "Money & Power" by Bryan Kumar.

This interview alone is a real eye-opener.

Read Allen's books (there's a "powerpack" selling around for few bucks) and if you still don't see how you could make it in IM, then quit. No point in being foolish about it.

If you ever buy another IM course again, buy this "powepack" bundle of Allen's knowlede. It's priceless!

You owe this to yourself, period.

    You are right of course - personal development is an essential part of online success, and often overlooked. So important I call it one of my 'Three Pillars Of Success' when training newbie business owners.

    I would also suggest people read Jim Rohn's materials - for the reasons I outline on my training blog.

    What I always wanted to know is how to get started... I mean, really started... Not just doing affiliate work to promote someone else, but what to do if I wanted to get my own product out in the open.

    The answer is right there in the interview... Allen puts it nicely... That's why I recommend his writings so much...

    It's game changing read.

    Thanks for the recs

    IM can be insanely frustrating at first because its hard to understand how everything fits together and then how to monetize. Once you find something that works though, that light will go on and its all down hill from there.

      Quitting is easy. Sticking in and pushing your way forward is what counts and what brings results.

      I've read many guides on how to make money. The problem is, all of them offered part of the answer. Until I've read Allen's writings, I had hard time figuring things out.

      I "got" it when I realized there's nothing special about online marketing. There's no secret formula, no secret "one way that really works" guide that will make you rich.

      I stopped searching for holy grail and went back to the basics - providing value. That's all there is to making money online (or offline) - providing lot's of in-use value. Only, on the Internet, the whole procedure happens much faster.

        Great point. Many people quit because they think the only way to make it online is to have inside information, inside tricks, or to have superb tech ability. It simply isnt true.

        Youve got it about providing value. If you provide value in some respect and couple this with a little bit of creativity, you will be fine

    You are completely right, I agree 100%. Think of IM as a game of poker, you will win and lose but when you finally play your right cards, you will hit big.

    It is all about trying new things, testing out new markets, and discovering new methods to meet your goals. If the card you have placed down is not working, then move on to the next. There is only soo many cards out there until you find the right one. So just keep playing the game.

    You will fail if you are a quitter, NEVER give up!

      Thanks for this encouragement. Frankly I threw in the towel a while ago thinking that it is impossible as I spent more money trying to learn online than I care to publicly share. That being said, I'm slowly getting back into things. Thanks for these posts. I don't mean to sound clueless but who is this Allen you're referring too and what are the titles of his books.

        Allen (Says) is the guy who runs this forum. I've read few of his books on money making and let me tell you how it went:

        I bought the powepack serie with Tycoon, 7Secrets, Internet Cash Machines, Private Posts, and Unlimited Profits I think. As a bonus, there was this interview with Allen by Bryan Kumar.

        At first I didn't even read the whole stuff as I got overloaded with information wealth by just reading Private Posts.

        Weeks later I opened 7Secrets books and didn't make much sense then... So I dropped it.

        Again, weeks later I found the Tycoon book quite amazing and started to look how I could create my product instead just being an affiliate. That alone took me about 2-3 weeks.

        Then I started reading Unlimited Profits and again got blew away with information overload. My mind was completely overburned with all the possibilities and options.

        At that point I pretty much figured out how things should be put together and I only had one question - how to start one of those ICM. I had no list, no money to buy ads and very little time to invest.

        This was really bugging me... I had every thing set up, product, AR series written, sales letter, web site, ... everything was there. But I didn't know how to start the damn thing (pardon my french...)

        Then, I've read a page in the interview, when Bryan asks Allen if he would be totally new in online marketing, what would he advise him, where he should start.

        Allen's answer and explanation why he would do it like that is brilliant... I've got my answer and I'm implemeting it right now. In addition to this technique, I started with another one from 7Secres book. It's amazing....

        There's one other technique about how to get practically unlimited traffic to your site for _free_... I'm doing it right now and it works like charm.

        So, anyone looking how to _really_ start making money online, next line is for you:

        Stop looking at all those lget-rich-quick money schemes because you will nothing but delay your real opportunity. If you _really_ want to learn how to make money online, then do yourself a favor and learn from the very best in the business. One of them is Allen.

        Get his stuff and read it cover to cover, drop it for a day or two and then read it again at least 30 times again all while doing exactly how he's suggesting. Then read it again - you'll find hidden stuff you overlooked before. On your 51th reading, you'll find the gold.

        Just kidding about the gold there... But I did read his material at least 20 times over... And I'm still referencing his writings when doing things. That's how powerful his words are.
