The sooner you accept the fact the you will have some failures, setbacks, challenges, screw-ups, brain farts, or whatever else you want to call these events the easier your online business journey and life journey will be. Failure is part of the success process and can not be avoided. In fact you shouldn't want to avoid failure because this is where you will learn the most about you business and yourself. Yeah, failure can suck, failure can hurt, and failure can cost you a lot of time and money.
The sooner we accept that we are willing to deal with failure no matter what happens the easier it will be for you when unexpected and unwanted things happen in your business and in your life.
Try to mitigate risk when doing things by conducting due diligence on whatever to want to get in to. The biggest, first, and best investment you can make is on education about what you want to do and personal development on yourself.
Read books like, The Compound Effect, How to Win Friends and Influence People, 10x, etc... to work on yourself and devour information that specifically pertains to what you are doing.
Stay Focused and have a strong "Why" because when the rah rah motivation wanes and it will your "Why" will give the you discipline and focus to keep going.

I hope this helps anyone who might be having a rough time, second-guessing themselves, hates life, or thought that success was going to happen two weeks after they put up their website.

Stay Focused!!! Have Great Day!!!

Great advice: Thanks Sid. One of my favourite quotations from Thomas J. Watson (Founder of IBM) is:

Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It's quite simple, really. Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn't at all. You can be discouraged by failure - or you can learn from it. So go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because, remember, that's where you will find success.

Just go out and do as many mistakes as you please.

Just don't repeat them (that's the hard part).

The key for me Sid is seeing opportunity after opportunity for learning; takes the sting and failure and fear out of the opportunities, so I do things more from love and fun, and keep persisting.

  • Failure features way big in hooman development.

From an evolootionary perspective, we all got here cos successful ancestors bore our ass thus.

But now we here, we see how nuthin' fixed in stone.

(tbh that kinda perfection is called A STATUE.)

Truth is, we all evah movin' forward, an' till we get sumplace mebbe we gowin', prolly we gotta step out in the dark sumtimes.

Which means FALLIN' OVAH or GETTIN' OUR ASS NIBBLED by sum NOCTURNAL BEAST.

What this kinda opportoonistic failure ethos means is ... anywan & evrywan can make it through given alla the usual virtues like courage, smartness, mebbe even charisma.

Problems start when failure switches from opportoonistic to intrinsic ... an' only certain kindsa anywan an' evrywan can make it through.

That is why it pays to accept failure only when yr eyeballs are incisively drilled down on opportoonistic foibles.

Intrinsic failure prolly jus' means sum smartass shafted yr ass cos they figured how to make it so.

Natchrlly, that gotta be a way unacceptable kinda failure if'n you wanna max out on failure counts for sumthin'.

And some people never learn, regardless of how many mistakes the make. My married four times mother taught me that. She's living with her prospective 5th.

      See what I mean. lol

P.S. No - I have never been married. Once of us learned.

Good post. People fail and learn from their mistakes. Failure is always going to be a part of the learning process and is difficult to avoid.

    Always keep learning.

    Well worded, and it's true.

To all you newbies out there... this is not a get rich quick business, and you do need to put in time and effort.

You can learn a lot here, but you will fall.

Think about this: You can read all the books, and blog posts, and watch how videos to learn to ride a bicycle, but you are still going to fall. Falling (failing) is necessary for winning.

    Thanks for the post Sid.

The forum encompasses many different types of business,

....though it's safe to agree that none of them allow a person to get rich quick.
