seeing the movie but not the work

hello ..

i was watching an interview with the cast of avengers infinity war .. you can watch the movie in about 3 hours.. but it's the result of thousands of hours of film shot just for that ..plus a decade of movie build up and decades of comic story ..

if you read a book from a popular fiction author.. you read the book.. not all the stuff that had to be cut or edited from that book or a fraction of the work to build the skills the autor had to write the book ..

you see the light bulb .. and you know it took thousand or ten thousand .. failures ..but you do not see them .. you hear that the kentucky colonel .. some old retired guy with a fried chicken recipe .. failed for years to get someone interest in building of financing a recipe .. but you only here the story of the yes .. not all the no's ..

the thing is .. there was no trying and failing and trying and failing ..in the movie business the same sceen may be shot over and over hundred of times ..until it is gotten right .. you may see the bloopers .. but before the set is put together .. and the crew is assembled to shoot the sceen .. the directory .. has a clear idea what right is .. and others involved do as well .

we can champion failure as a way to success .. but success is process of getting each step right as you move to a goal .. if fail in a way that prevents you from taking any more steps .. that is the wrong kind of failure .. and it's for another post in this thread ..

good day all

so smashing the violin because you don't sound like a pro after three days of practice.. not the kind of failure that leads to success

In internet marketing it can be hard to know where you are failing, there are so many different variables. Is it the product? The offer? The level of competition? Ad copy? i think it helps to pattern yourself after something that you already know is working.

to be a smart as the first failure is calling it internet marketing instead of digital marketing or just marketing ..

or as jeff bezos understood with amazon 20 years ago which helped him become the richest person in the world ..getting your offer where the attention of your market is

    Yep O, exactly.

I did part time modeling a few decades ago. Friend marveled over 1 shot I shared when I was jacked, perfect lighting, ideal pose....then I shared how the photographer picked this one out of 1,000 shots and how we spent 3 hours taking those 1,000 shots. Plus the years of weight training and running, cutting my water for a week gradually, cutting ALL water for 12 hours leading to shoot, cramping up.

If you see a masterpiece, it took a long time to make it a masterpiece.

I know many sports fans follow this forum. Especially NBA fans. Folks marvel at Kyrie Irving now but I followed him when he played high school ball in New Jersey. Dude would spend 8-10 hours on many days just practicing fundamentals, again and again, and now he is the most skilled guard on earth.

at the same time 1000 other people could put the same work in practicing basic fundamentals and not get past college ball but have a better time playing ..there is only ever one best in the world at a time ..and a limited number of spots on nba teams ..

but that discipline put into learning can transfer over to many other areas ..so it doesn't have to..

i have developed a lot of my creativity when i was learning to cook..and also got pointed to where to learn and build other skills..even if i am not become a professional chef or competed in competitions ..

I think there is way to much pressure to only build skill to produce income ..and or .. only aim for being the best.. but then a lot of some what decent skill can mold into really good or a high level of success in odd pursuits..

to many are sitting on the sidelines dreaming about being the best .. and missing the opportunities to build a real good life ..
