If you want to go fast, you go alone.
But if you want to go far, we go together.
Now at first glance, this saying may seem logical, perfect and reasonable.
But the way I see, there are pros and cons of working alone and working with people.
Working alone is very lonely yes but you have the time, freedom and flexibility.
While working with people provides you company, you may not always have the time, freedom and flexibility.
As much as I understand the importance of socializing and working with people, there are 2 TYPES of people I want to avoid at all costs.
1. People who are negative which requires no further explanation since most of you know by common sense AND
2. People who are manipulative. In fact they are far worse than negative people from my view and experience. On the surface, they appear friendly and even expressed their interest to be the same as you and want to work with you.
But ultimately their goal is to suck all your money and do the same to others.
And once they achieved their goals, that is when you see their true colors.
In the very first Iron Man movie shown here 10 years ago exactly, Tony Starks and his business partner - played by Jeff Bridges - shared the same interests and goals.
But after Tony was imprisoned by terrorists, he began to realize that making money is not everything but giving value to others as well.
Problem is Jeff Bridges do not think that way. Neither does he believe the saying READY, FIRE and AIM which is popular among most entrepreneurs.
He is more of venture capitalist who believes in leveraging on others on the surface.
But actually wanting to profit from everyone at all costs on the inside.
Eventually he becomes the nemesis and ultimate villian for Tony Starks aka Iron Man.
Why am I saying all these?
Because while it is good to work with people, it is better to work with the RIGHT people.
As in those sharing your interests, goals and values.
