What's The Most Important Task or Habit For An Online Marketer To Do Daily ?

I have noticed that on this forum that there seem to be several types of marketers.

Veterans Marketers, New·bie Marketers, and others who are in between.

I think what might be helpful to some of us, New-bie marketers would be some advice from the veteran marketers.

So, if you are a veteran marketer or even a newbie marketer that has had some recent success could you share or would you share with us...

The most important tasks or habits that have helped you to achieve success in your online marketing.

Thanks in advance

    Hi Gregg,

Everyone is different... so the "most important" daily task or habit for one marketer or entrepreneur can be different than another.

One consistent thing that I personally think is important is making sure your mindset is on point.

Every morning when I wake up (and before I start working) is I watch videos and/or listen to audible audiobooks from people who have achieved the level of success that I strive for.

To me, having a strong mindset in this game and life, in general, is most important. So I make sure to always work on that first every day no matter what!

A few people I like to watch and learn from are...

    Gary V - https://www.youtube.com/user/GaryVaynerchuk
    Eric Thomas - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1d...CQliL_N48tZZiw
    Les Brown - https://www.youtube.com/user/riceNchicken

I highly recommend watching this Les Brown video
    https://youtu.be/ffXKVfUcQE8

Hope this helps everyone here... from newbies to veterans and everyone in between

I would probably be in the veterans area, and have had recent success in Stock trading, so l can't just freely give out how l did that, not without a $1,300 WSO, but tasks ok...

Keep going and learning and believe that success is possible.

Tasks habits, phew, the same l guess, regardless of how long it takes, how often your idiot friends, (don't worry they will all disappear soon enough) pester you to give up, and how many times you fail, well how many times l failed over the last 10 years online, l had a deep belief that l could succeed somehow, someday.

Core belief is the key, if you are happy to work for someone, live it up, and spend the rest of your retirement years in poverty, then go ahead, but if you believe that you want to achieve and make more than enough for 10 overseas vacations, and endless smartphone upgrades, then do that.

I choose the second one, and 10 years later firmly believe that what l am presently doing is the one, and not enough dead end.

Sure there will be times when you will be staring straight at the abyss, wondering, but that is nothing to fear, working all of your life for someone and having to go on the pension, with zero skills and experiences to fall back on is the scary one.

And you also have to feed that core belief, so l tend to pay attention to tropical images in papers, and leave it open at that page when reading a book on getting ahead.

Visualizing goals with boards, and reading and images, does not work, it does give you some ideas, but for the most part is a waste of time, as well as p****g you off, when years roll by and no BMW.

    Hope that helps.

PS nope l won't be writing a book anytime soon, lol.

In a nutshell I go by five:

    #1: Do your due diligence.
Not always as easy as it sounds, so 'research' the past, present and future of a market, JV etc. to gain a good idea of the pros and cons. What may be Hot today could be Cold tomorrow and up to date knowledge of a product or service will determine profit margins.

    #2: Buy low Sell high.
Pretty much goes without saying and when done right there exists the potential for profit. Everything is always changing and it can change in the blink of any eye on the internet. Especially eCommerce. Again 'research' is the key.

#3: Customer Service comes first. Also includes employees, affiliates, vendors, etc.
Daily, ensure anyone and everyone mandatory to your business is doing well in terms of income and stability. Essentially, the business income will sustain all of the links and nodes connected to your business.

#4: Owner and Manager: Business Plan and Contingency Plans.
Running an internet business requires a solid Business Plan and Contingency Plans (Know when to hold em and know when to fold em).

Contingency Plans aka plans within plans. As that business on the internet is always changing with good and bad results it is mandatory to adhere to Contingency Plans, yes plural. As the business owner, ensure the business manager etc. are aware of the Business Plan and are ready to adapt to Contingency Plans at a moments notice.

Side note: Though this is #4 - The Business plan and Contingency Plans are the beating heart of an internet business and often considered the most important aspect of running an internet business. Only the business owner(s) and business manager(s) are typically involved it is a good idea to 'contract' any and all changes for employees, JV Partners, etc.

    #5: Pay it forward.
By 'pay it forward' I mean take care of the people that have had a positive impact on your business. By example: I buy in bulk to resell and in specific markets I always buy more than I need just to give-away to people I know need it. At times the act is equivalent to someone not having to pay for an essential. This past Halloween we gave-away forty-five costumes to needy families.

Plan your day. Everyone is different in how much time they have available so everyone's time allocation will be different.

Write down the tasks you want to achieve each day - this helps reinforce them in your own mind.

Keep track of the tasks you have completed. It can sometime seem like you're spinning your wheels and getting nowhere and if you look back over you completed tasks, you will see that you are moving forward.

If you don't get a task done today, move it to the start of tomorrow's tasks.

Do the tasks you look forward to least, first. Get them out of the way. If you leave them till last, they'll start to build up and you'll end up with a wall of them that will seem overwhelming and insurmountable.

Set a time and duration for when you check email and social media for business use only. Save the personal stuff for outside of your "business" hours. It's far too easy to get distracted by all the digital noise out there.

Be consistent, Some tasks will be daily tasks, some will be one-time. Make sure to do the daily tasks every day at the same time so that you get into the habit of doing them. They just become second nature.

There will be times when you just don't feel like working. You have to push through. If you've built up working habits, they'll help you with this. If you decide not to work, you'll end up finding more and more excuses not to work.

Focus on what you're doing. If you're following a course, stick with it to the end. Don't go through it once. Go through it again and again. You'll learn something new each time. If you're not seeing the results you expect, you'll be tempted to try a different course. Don't. This is how you develop the grasshopper habit of jumping from one thing to the next because you never give any one of them time to work.

Don't expect fast results. Sure, some people do get instant success just like someone wins the lottery every week,. But the chances of that being you are are very low.

It takes time to build an online business. You can shortcut that somewhat by finding a good mentor who will show you what mistakes they made so you don't have to repeat them. And learn from them what does work.

If you have a natural talent in one area - say you just happen to find out you're a whiz at making videos - that can speed up your results. But most marketers aren't like that. They're ordinary Joes trying to learn a new skill set.

Lastly, you need to have the right mindset for success. Often, we're our own worst enemies. If you don't like going outside your comfort zone, then you'll never push yourself to greater heights. Maybe, deep down, you're afraid of success. If you actually did become a millionaire, how do you think your family and friends would view you? Would they be jealous or proud? Would they think being rich had changed you, and not for the better? Would they feel that you now look down on them because they're stuck in mundane jobs that they hate? Do you let other people's opinions of you influence how you behave?

I recommend any marketer pick up a copy of Straight-Line Leadership (it's on Amazon) to learn how to get into the right mindset for both personal and professional success.

One of the most important tasks is guarding your time, and that often means from loved ones and people who think they have good intentions by being negative toward you.

Make a list of people you interact with, rate them, one to three.

ONES work with your toward your goals.

TWOS, are friendly but don't move you toward your goals.

THREES, are Time Wasters. Learn to identify and avoid them.

During your 'WORK' time, work only with the number ones on your list.

Although there is a lot of chest thumping here, truth is, very few do it on their own, so the people you have in your life, are not only important, but may be critical to your success.

It can be difficult to separate yourself from family and friends, but reserve a small amount of non work time for them, to fritter away as you allow them to.

It always helps when having clear defined goals instead of doing things randomly. For example the first thing that I do online in the morning is upload and publish my video on Instagram make a few comments .After that I go to facebook and post a. Status update .

The basic principles of success is always the same, it's always about learning, and when you think you have learned enough, you will still need to learn more. Be knowledge hungry, don't be afraid of failures, they are the secret ingredient to your success.

I think the most important thing for marketers is to make mistakes. When it happens, you learn from it and correct it. This way, you will never go wrong again. It will give you the energy you need to make ends meet.

As I open my laptop in the morning, at first I always start my day by reading seo news. And after that I will start making notes about the work.
