How long have you been thinking about that idea?

You know the one that has kept you up almost every night for the week?

In your mind, you know exactly what you should be doing, but you just can't seem to get things going in real life. Trust me when I say I know the feeling.

You have all these great ideas and for some reason, you just can't seem to take action on them.

Every time you're about to take action you keep thinking that you need to read another book or you need more information.

Let me tell you right now. You don't need any more information you just need to take action!

You need to take that thing that's in your head and take action on it. Stop worrying about having it be perfect just take action.

Here's how you can start today.

Figure Out The First Step

You need to figure out the first step. What is the first thing you need to do to put this dream into action? Do you need to call somebody? Do you need to write an article? Do you need to write a lead magnet?

What is the first thing you need to do to put things into motion?

Start Small

Now whatever your first step is I want you to make it as small as possible.

Why?

How much action have you been taking on the big goals? Hardly if any. The reason for this is the big goals can overwhelm your brain. They look so big and your mind just doesn't know how to make it happen.

Now when you start small with some easy action it makes it way easier for you to get started.

Work Backwards

Just like making that first step small you want to break everything in your goal down to manageable steps. You want to create a daily system that will help you to get to your goal.

It's like when you're trying to lose weight. Instead of saying I'm going to lose 50lbs in the next 90 days with no plan try building it into a system.

Try building a system. I'm going to run every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and I'll go to the gym every Tuesday and Thursday.

Know what you're going to do on each day. You want to write out exactly how you're going to get to your goals.

By doing this you eliminate the need for thinking and over thinking. You just show up and put the work in.

Show UP

The last thing you have to do is show up every day. This is the hard part. You have to show up and put in the work. Put in the work every single day even when you don't feel like putting in the work. You have to or else you won't get to your dream.

Show up. When you're tired. Show up when you aren't fully 100% passionate about it.

All I want you to do is show UP! The more you show up the easier it will get.

You're going to go through a bit of pain, but your dreams are on the other side of that pain. Go through the pain now so you don't have to live in pain after.

Take Action!

if you are going to try and lose 50 pound in 90 days.. thats not a big goal..it can be done but usually with the aide of a medical procedure or some really nasty illness that might kill you ..

but you hit on a good point the reason most people or a majority or 99 percent of big goals fail..is they tend to be impossibly or impossible from where the person is starting ..

you can set the goal of 1-2 pounds a week of weight loss and the easiest way to do that if you can eat potatoes .. is to eat only plain white potatoes to satify hunger that you have cooked once and heat back up ..about 3 days a week .. or do a cardio workout after you wake up and before you eat anything

or you can keep the 50 pound in 90 goals.. and the easy way to do that would be visit mexico drink the tap water and only east food prepared by street vendors who you can tell never wash their hands or practice any type of food safty

  • Gotta remember also how refrainin' from doin' also constitoots a plus point.

Droppin' stuff don't work also equals manifestation of progress, even if'n it don't seem adrenaline or testosterone powered.

So for example, as an act of motivational bravado, I could boost my courage credentials by slippin' off my bra an' dippin' my boobies in a pool fulla piranhas.

But I figure NOT dowin' that is a way smarter move.

Life's examples are not always so clear cut as this, but evry fork in the path don't always have to be a DO.

(Course, I may change my mind if the guy in my local bookstore invites me to lick his ears.)

I'm glad to hear that this helped you. I know how it is sometimes when you're building an online business. Some days you want to do the work and some days you could care less about what happens.

Sure, the last week has been like that.

I had to do my tax, and the monthly report on my budget, or projected profit/losses for the financial quarter, that was very boring.

I tried listening to music, and such, but it was still dull, running through past records, writing it all down and then adding it all up, then doing it again for the other one.

I showed up, but was wasting more and more time on forums and such beforehand, since it was deadly dull, with less time to get it done.

I realized this and cracked the whip on myself, and finally got it all done, and on schedule, just.

But l have to admit l don't have that issue with Stocktrading, although l spent a year reading everything l could lay my hands on, and watching video tutorials, and sure some of those bored me to tears.

These days l typically spend 15 minutes studying charts, to get a game plan of what to do or look out for on that day, then watch the stockprice for the first half hour, until things slow down or stabilize, then watch a show or movie, on my laptop and keeping tabs on it, by occasionally flicking the video to minimal.

Then after a few hours decide on whether l should hold it overnight or get out.

And if l am right, the profits compound and grow at an ever increasing rate.

But this took me a year of losing money, learning and failing, then getting off the floor and trying again, which wasn't pretty at times, but worth it in the end, but as you have said, "Just Do It" or "Take Action"....

My experience was nudging into fear, feeling it, then, I did it. The fear of doing seems to prevent doing. But nudging into it and feeling scared and then taking that first tiny but huge step, all seemed to get the ball rolling for me. We have many special gifts, so use one that nudges you into fear, feel it, do it, dive in and get going.

Gotta remember also how refrainin' from doin' also constitoots a plus point.

If I find I'm putting off doing something - day after day. If I have excuses for not getting started or not taking the next step....

Chances are - I don't want to do it. I'm not interested in it or it isn't something I value or believe in. In that case 'just forget about it' is the best plan for me.

Often using self discipline to 'get started' is all you need to begin moving forward. If you need to keep flogging yourself daily to 'just DO' - it may be time to move on to something else.

It's what I call idea paralysis. Happens to me every time, like I'm driving to work then an idea pops to mind then I keep thinking about it but one way or another I seem to be hindered by something or what.
