How did you find your strengths?

Through hypnosis and the path of least resistance.

Then I was able to touch base with something I had never encountered before. Powers I never knew I had. Nowadays things just fly. When you delve in the mystic you'll start apprehending things that are not within the reach of grasp of the common man.

You can ask people what they think are your strengths. Of course, they won't tell you everything, but they can help you down the right path.

Most of us have an idea of what our strengths are it's just a matter of capitalizing on them.

There are many courses online you can take which will help you to find out what your strengths are and how they can help you.

The question is not finding the strengths but putting the thousands of hours needed to devolp those strengths over at least ten years

Who was it motzart who stared composing as 7 but didn't compsoe anything decent until his twenties or something like that .but decent for motzart is probably a high bar

The question is how do you find the strength to keep improving when everyone is telling you to give up and do something usefull

Insightful. Yes, our strengths are obvious, because we have developed them already. It's our potentials that we need to discover.

And the entire question assumes that we have strengths. Half of us are below average, no matter how we want to feel about it.

And...undeveloped potentials fade away. By the time you are an adult, if you haven't used a neuron, it has died away. It's why it's easy to learn a language when you're a kid, and much harder as an adult.

This is why it would be a bad idea for me to run a support group. Or be in one.

ha! and thanks. Reminds me, or what every comedian ever has been credited with saying: I wouldn't join any group that allowed someone like me to be a member (or 1001 variations).

A support group for those who start and run support groups, a 13 Step Program because you want to be one better...than ____________

IM (WF) addicts support group, oops, iow...The Mind Warriors.

........ and all that jazz. (the above the 2.0 version of me)

POTENTIALS. Everyone knows they have them. And most older people do let them die off neuron by neuron.

But, no matter your age, if there is the bit of gold inside still needing to be mined, it then becomes a question of HOW to do it, quickly and efficiently.

Old guys near or past retirement age, (Claude and myself) shift to the potential for fun, enjoyment, lack of pain, more personal engagement...THAT sort of potential.

Albeit the stories of Colonel Sanders and Kentucky Fried pop up, and there is no reason why a 70 year old, who is motivated enough to do so, can't tap into the POTENTIAL which has been dormant for so long. He/she just needs a speed drill.

IF you are in PEAK Entrepreneurial years, 20 to 45, then you face a different problem, which is CHOICES. Too much potential. The younger and more gifted you are, or the more driven and motivated, create certain roadblocks of distraction.

In WF terms, we call those shiny objects and it is a common thing to read about a 7 year journey until success is reached via a trial and error method.

Quicker success has a tendency to come to those more focused. Do the thing which works, for you, then scale it up.

But here is another secret to potential. Until pushed or thrown down the mountain of snow, a snowball only has stored potential. It is the movement, the overcoming of inertia, which turns it into a kinetic energy.

But if you throw the snowball down into the forest, it hits a tree before it can grow. And that is one of the problems many have, picking the forest, rather than a clear slope.

HOW do you use or work your potential? Well, maybe I'll tell you later. If there is any interest.

I have to agree. Brass balls are such a rarity these days.

Couple that with low testosterone levels and mental acuity
goes down the drain. When I first wore pants, I was already
a boy-scout who scoffed at the idea of slapping silly another
wimp given that I was an inbred gentleman at heart.

To cut a long story short, it was hypnosis that fused in me
untold dynamic. Everybody in the family was using hypnosis.

From Father to Son, this tradition passed from one generation
to another. I remember when my Father practically commanded me
to become a ruthless son of a gun and balk no more.

By tapping briefly on my forehead.

He told me to "go out and be the best you can".

His piercing eyes poke a hole in my soul and instantly turned
me into "AUTOMATIC MODE". As if I was nonchalantly possessed
by a superior intelligence that reckoned no limits.

So how did I find my strengths?

I discovered mine through meditating. Since then, I have never looked back. I have taken on yoga to perfect my meditation skills. It's awesome.

Years ago there was an amazing site called TIckle.com (That I wish was still online) ... Basically by taking their tests I learned that I'm a "Insightful Linguist" that I have a "Balanced Brain" (Rather being too logical or too emotional.) If there's anything similar online I would recommend doing it.

Many times when you're passionate/enthusiastic about something that's a sign of one (or more) of your strengths.

I spent a lot of time in quiet buddy. Being in quiet, I discovered what I had fun doing well. Sometimes, my fun-strengths were quite different than stuff other people said I did well. People say I am a natural on live video. Definite strength for me. But I do not have genuine fun doing it; feels too heavy. So I just write and share and do what feels fun and easy and what I am good at because spending more time in quiet revealed this to me.
