As a busy entrepreneur do you struggle with staying in shape?

Hey everyone, I'm currently in a research phase where I'm trying to find out how one could make it easier for busy entrepreneurs to stay in shape

So I have two simple questions:

As a busy entrepreneur do you struggle with staying in shape? If you do what are the two biggest issues you face?

  • I can almost guarantee that if an entrepreneur WANTS to get in shape, and can;'t, then they are poor entrepreneurs to begin with. Discipline does NOT happen in isolation.

    Good question.

I have that problem maybe 3-4 years back? I have a big tummy at that time lol... The 2 biggest issues I faced at that time were time management and handling the stress.

Always remember round and very round is a shape to be in as well.

In a way I am being a smart ass here .

But anyone in great physical shape over 25 can tell you how often the work out every week the excersizes the reps . How much cardio and can give you a good idea of their basic diet in the course of a week

People in top shape also can tell you their recovery plans . How much sleep they get massage. Ice baths . Censory deprivation cryo tanks.

Josh, I get what you are saying.. the Sedentary Lifestyle can take its toll.

I have found in my life, that success is emulated in all aspects of your life. Bringing the idea of exercise down to its simplest form; Walking, Sit ups, and Pushups. You can develop a working aspect in your life of work = results

Walk 30 minutes a day. 15 minutes out, and then 15 minutes back. Over time you will walk further and further.

How many pushups or sit up can you do in 1 minute ( 60 seconds ) If you do this every day there WILL BE an increase in the amount you can do. It might be 5 when you first start, but over time it could be 100.

This small step creates the pattern of work creating positive results - and again over time this small portion of your day will not be the only portion effected. Start spending those 17 minutes with your kids, your wife, your husband, your parents.. and you develop greater family bonds. Success will flow into all aspects of your life, once there is an aspect of success to be followed.

There should be no excuse for not staying in shape. I mean in 24 hours one can easily take out an hour for exercise. If you can not do that then you need to keep a vigilant eye on your diet which will help you stay in shape.

Being physically fit isn't very difficult for most people. It's a mindset game.

Also being busy doesn't mean productive or successful.

I know a lot of "busy" people that never have time to meet but they also don't have much to say for it.

Most of the successful entreprenuers I know set time aside for proper nutrition (usually food prep) and time for fitness (even if it's only 15 minutes a day).

I, for one, can't say I'm astoundingly successful (in my own view) but I have a good diet approx 85-90% of the time and workout anywhere from 3 - 7 days a week depending.

From doing that, I can tell you this... almost all of being in shape comes down to diet.

    All about BALANCE.

    TRICKIER THAN IT SEEMS.

Exercise, Nutrition, Hydration, Sleep. We can not win if we are dead.

Ever see those comments of people saying Ramen Diet during FRAMA? Financial Drama.

    That crap will kill you!

Had a friend that got major Vitamin deficiency and prickly feeling in fingertips and loss of balance from eating that cardboard daily.

Busy entrepreneurs do not struggle to stay in shape. People who do not exercise and/or eat more than they should or crap do.

I.e., it is mot being busy that makes you struggle; it is the ideas you have about you and exercise and/or food that do.

I think the biggest hurdle that many face is simply getting started.

What helped me was saying instead of having a goal of losing 20 lbs to reach my goal weight, I said I was going to lose 2-3 pounds per month which was more doable.
