the complex world we live in function not based on people having great habits .. but for the most part people adhering to schedules and checklists ..

all the effort people put into attempting to form better habits so they can passivly live their lives or go through their days on autopilot ...

the more successful people are the more likely they have a schedule and stick to it as best a real life events allow ..

i guess you can write a 10 thousand books on habits ..but maby 1 hundred page book on mastering scheduling ..

While one might argue that the act of regularly adhering to a schedule is itself a habit ... your point's well taken, and would agree.

James Clear has an interesting POV on this. He talks about the benefits of setting a schedule to operate by, rather than a deadline (end goal) to accomplish a particular goal by. Sticking to a (exercise / blogging / reading / coding / animating, etc etc) schedule obliges one to practice that which is important regularly ... which in turn increases proficiency and leads to things getting accomplished on a consistent basis.

digging into a few presentations from mr clear ..that here not podscast he was pomting his book on ..seem he focuses heavily on changing the the environment around you to promote better habits and help break the bad habits .. he did also mentio he didn't just make it a habit to publish an article twice a week he scheduled Monday and Thursday are the days he would publish

it like the 9 figure millionaires and billionaires who where the have 10 of the same suits or wear about the same style of clothing ..

it is a process of saving up mental energy to focus on important tasks rather than cluttering up the brain with hundred of les than critical choice or thing to remember

Planners and how to use them are big business.
I think it's important to get things done whether
using a planner to schedule tasks, make simple
to-do or checklists, or if we are just in the habit
of getting going and taking care of business each
day. We should all do our best to get something
accomplished, especially if we are generating
    our own income.
